I love the hammock

Long ago it was, I love the nightlife. Recently I find the hammock a good replacement for the nightlife.

The nightlife was exciting but I never cared much for disco. I can’t dance.

Now had I found a partner like the Seinfeld character Elaine nightlife would have been different. We would have cleared the dance floor. Anybody could be that guy. The night is young and the music is high. I’m in the mood for a nap. (don’t know the Seinfeld reference? check this clip)

Oh, I ... Ohhh I ... I love the hammock,
I got to sleep under the trees, oh yea.

Don’t know disco from costco from cisco?

For years, I think the only dance I knew how to do was that damn Saturday Night Fever thing with the pointer finger.

ha ha that would not look too good now unless it was some retro thing. thanks

I have some fond memories of disco dances. The clothing wasn't so great, but the dancing was a lot of fun.

Your hammock looks real nice, we hanged a hammock on the boat and it was the best seat in the house, we bought it online, I think it was made in Mexico or was it the famous hammock from Pawley's Island, SC.

the clothing was different thanks

That's a nice boat you cruise around in. What famous hammock? I'll need to look up Pawley's Island now. My favorite SC place was Myrtle Beach. Good to read your bloggy words (posts and comments)

Pawley you know is south of Myrtle, quieter and more quaint. We loved that area but I must say, I went there only once, even though that was the famous close favorite place. Looking back, I've covered the whole of US except for Alaska.

I did a quick look up on it (wikipedia). It has a ghost and handmade rope hammocks. The picture in my post here was taken in New Hampshire at a B&B.

I actually got all of your references. I'm feeling all sharp this morning! My dad also loves the hammock. I find that while I have no hammock, I'm definitely tending toward relaxing in the back yard in the evenings around the firepit!

I think I didn't realize you'd been a single dad!

Sharp in the morning and relaxed in the evening is a good way to go. I was a single parent for less than two years. Very scary at first. I have not mentioned it up here much, if at all. thanks

During the disco fever era, I think I thought it was kind of cool but as I look back at it, goofiest looking era ever...stupid looking clothes, and the dances laughable.

The hammock does look far better than "the night life" would.

Doesn't that always happen with fads? The look stupid years after they faded away. It's one reason I think many people will have buyers remorse for their tattoos. thanks
