fragments flipped fluffed

My Friday fragment (ff) post is often flipped fluff. Creating my ff post can be more fun than my other posts. Unknown Mami of San Francisco blogging fame is hosting the ff group this summer.

Unknown Mami

Most weeks I jot down notes of ideas during the week for my ff post. Either I didn’t have the time or inclination during the week.

“A dream come true” - does anyone think about these common sayings. If my dreams came true, my life would be weirder than most Sci-fi movies. I guess a day-dream come true would be mostly normal.

Very cool to report the cooling problem reported in last week’s ff post has been solved. A bundle of money and 2-3 skilled workers for a full day has our furnace and A/C replaced.

~~==cross this line ----- for another fragment==~~

Big Chicagoland news this past week - Twinkies will be back on store shelves July 15. Oh, and the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup.

Oh one more breaking junk food news story. Watermelon Oreos offered as a summer cookie treat.

Don’t let your blog go fallow, plant a post in it today.

"Plant a post on your blog" - good one. No songs this week? I write things down to blog about on Friday's too. Otherwise, I completely forget and sit there with writer's block. Hope you have a nice weekend!

Funny how you billed the return of the Twinkie over the Blackhawk Stanley Cup.

My blog has been lying fallow until I planted a post today.

I agree with Keetha: coupliing the return of Twinkies and the Blackhawk Stanley Cup. Glad you were able to spend lots of money to cool off hour house. I love when other people spend money. No, I am sorry you had dto spend a ton of money.

Glad y'all got that AC thing taken care of. I can't imagine going through the summer without it---of course, the summers down here in the low-country are brutal without AC. Watermelon Oreos? I don't know about that. But I'm sure DoodleBug and her dad will be willing to give them a try!

Ouch on the pocketbook but YEAH on the A/C. It's going to be 100 degrees in LA this weekend and we don't have A/C. We really only need it a couple of weeks a year since we're just 4 miles from the beach and get "the cool breeze" as my husband likes to say, but dang! It's hot. Glad you're gonna be cool.
Happy weekend, jj

No A/C? That's a bit surprising. But you can just jump in the pool as long you are not worried about make-up and being wet. I've noticed the whole southwest part of country has turned into an oven. thanks stay cool

I might give the watermelon flavored cookies a try. I like watermelon and that's the best flavor of Jolly Rancher. thanks

"love when other people spend money" - funny. I guess it's even better if you benefit from some of the money spent. Check reply to Keetha for Twinkies/Blackhawk ranking. thanks

So if a fan eats a twinkie vs. a puck, the puck eater will be the hospital first. The twinkie eater might someday roll into the hospital depending on the volume of twinkies. Also, both twinkies and Blackhawks have a Chicago history. Twinkies history is long than the sports team. Thanks for noticing my twinkie/Blackhawk ranking. I will accept either twinkies or hockey pucks tips.
thanks

No songs today. I was half watching TV while writing. Often I'm listening to my Itunes list or youtube while writing. The writer's block happens to everyone I think. It's not too bad for me unless I'm trying to write something really good. Not to say occasionally great words and sentences (even a rare paragraph) do fly off my keyboard. thanks for the visit

Good to see you again, Lisleman! It's been quite a while (more than a year), but I'm finally back to blogging. Hope you'll stop by and say hello from time to time!!

Love the "plant a post on your blog" advice! Since I'm an avid gardener, I'll keep that one in mind :)

The twinkie junkies are so happy. My nephew is over the moon, as is our road super.

good to see a comment from you again. Still using the same blog? I'll browse by soon. thanks

I'm not actually a twinkie junkie. It's been many years since I've eaten one. I fondly remember eating them as a kid. thanks

Good. I was playing around with the word "fallow" and thought it made sense for bloggers. thanks

I always enjoy your Friday Fragments. I think it is a perfect venue to write down random thoughts for the week.

Watermelon Oreos...nothing about that sounds good. As far as Twinkies...that perhaps is the perfect combination of sugar and fat. I never eat them any more but they could and possibly would become my addiction.

lisleman said...

thanks I think the watermelon Oreos are worth a try. Depending how strong or artificial the flavor are, they might be ok.
Twinkies are too sweet for me.

I'm curious what your dreams are :)

lisleman said...

I'm curious too. Typically I only remember parts and after days pass I often forget those. My night dreams that I recall in the morning often involve relatives/family/former coworkers but take place in strange unreal type places.

Maybe you recall my tiger dream post - you commented on it.

What, did Twinkies go somewhere? I can't even remember how many years since I've eaten one. Thirty, maybe?

unknownmami said...

As long as I don't have nightmares come true, I'm all good.

Secret Agent Woman said...

OI have a vague memory of that. I don't really buy that stuff, so I wasn't paying attention.
