sundays in my summer

I don't think Unknown Mami will mind if I change a word in her regular "Sundays in my City" feature title.  I want to share some summer pictures with you.  Think of it as a summer of Sundays.

This first picture is really old from a family road trip as a kid (I'm the little one).

All the following pictures were taken this summer (2010).

From California
Hot and cold in one shot -

(I have a nose for news)

To Missouri,
have you ever done the ATV thing?

North Carolina,

and back to Illinois
swinging in the breeze

Chicago's version of Old Faithful

Wow those are some nice shots ... can't believe you were ever that little though? I have seen that fountain in Chicago from the TV show 'Married with Children'. No I have never done the ATV thing but someday I will try it. Kind of reminds me of riding a mechanized short elephant. W.C.C.

Thanks for the pics lisleman - I'd love to do a road trip across the USA but that'll probably never happen ... thanks also for your link on Mrs4444's blog ...

In the first picture you look like you want to get the picture taking over with so you can see the comfort station! You were a cute little guy. Each state has so many wonderful sights and things to do, don't you agree?

Loving that swing picture! I don't know about you but fair ride pictures are the BEST!

I've never riding a short elephant or a tall one either. The trails are fun with the hills.

you are welcome - I guess my chances of going Namibia are very slim too. Did you get some new readers from Mrs. 4444's blog?

thanks - yes there are so many great things to see and some are very simple. Travel is an eye and mind opener for me.

My body can't take those swinging rides anymore. I'm starting to get woozy on the merry go round.

I'm not sure where in the world I'd start on Summer photos - but good vacation memories for sure.

I like innovative takes on regular topics. You have enjoyed some nice summers. I enjoyed sharing them.

Regarding your comment on my post.....I have two Indian nieces who are trained engineers. The woman in the photo on my blog is a simple labourer. I just had to share that picture as it is something very different to what we are used to in the west.
