I met a bee once.
The relationship ended badly for both of us.
My mom was proud of her bed of flowers along the side of the house. I was curious. The bees loved the flowers. I was curious. A bee can crawl all the way inside a snapdragon flower. I was curious.
I thought I could trap the bee inside the snapdragon flower. Bees don't like to stay on a flower too long.

Bee's stinger + my thumb = I wasn't curious anymore.

Yeah, I've been stung a few times over the years. Ouch.
Been there done that! Fortunately, I'm not allergic to bee stings like some of my friends were. Now that is really bad.
Excellent lesson learned.
I'm lucky that way too. But my younger sister is allergic or at least she was after being attacked by wasps. The swarm can be overwhelming.
Live and learn, I guess. Too cute/funny. Snapdragons are awesome--I always loved making them "talk."
yeah I guess the bee didn't want to "talk" with me. But he did get his point across. (Ok it's getting late)
Well look on the bright side, you are not DEAD. That's what the dumb bee gets for sticking his nose in other people's flowers, where it doesn't BEE-long. W.C.C.
Reminds me of walking hand over hand on a railing. I don't know what possessed me to look right but just at that moment I was about to put my hand on a bee hive. Ran like crazy and still was stung 5 times.
I'd sting, too, if someone tried to trap me.
Bees don't sting me unless I accidentally sit on them in the grass or frighten them. Otherwise they are busy doing their daily chores. I could say that you probably learned not to put your thumb where it doesn't belong, but I won't say that. Don't worry. I won't do that. No way.

That's the best way to leave it. Don't completely say it, just keep them guessing.
