Scanning the mp3 mixes in my head reminds me of clicking the old push button car radio when there was less talk and more music.
Smoke gets in your eyes
sister golden hair surprise
Can’t you see it in my eyes
I had some dreams
they were clouds in my coffee,
clouds in my coffee
and
with a boulder on my shoulder
feelin’ kinda older
I tripped the merry-go-round
count the headlights on the highway
lay me down in sheets of linen
I just want someone that I can talk to
I want you just the way you are
you probably think this post is about you
Confused? Who's not? This post might help explain it but then again maybe not.

My first car had that same type of radio! It was only AM too.
I'm not sure but I think by the time FM showed up in car radios, they had cassette players too. Compared to the touch buttons of today those buttons were hard to push. It was big thing to have rear speakers.
thanks
Wait, wait, it's called station flipping. That's how old I am.
My older brother had that type of car radio in one of his early cars. The radios have changed but the habit of channel flipping hasn't. Now there are more channels to flip through.
I love the mix! My mama didn't permit station flipping. When we were young, she tuned into WTIX, the top 40 station out of New Orleans. She chewed gum, wore her hair teased and high, and sang along with in her big, white Buick. Those were the days, my friend!
thanks for sharing that imagine. You have me thinking of the B-52's and their car as big as a whale (Love Shack song). fun memory thanks
yes and they have automated the flipping with the scan button. thanks
That's what I would call it. The new radios have a scan button so I guess some call it scanning. thanks
Not confused at all! The radio in my head played them all with just your little blips to trigger them. I'm still a button pusher!
button pusher - better than those other pushers. Thanks for pushing the button to browse over here. Good lyrical memory getting all the tunes.
