Women
Mysterious, Indecipherable, Nebulous
A Billy Joel song gave me a little insight once. At least the lyrics reassured me I was not the only non-Venus creature to have been perplexed by a pretty face.
“She's Always A Woman To Me” by Billy Joel
“...Ohh and she never gives out, she never gives in, she just changes her mind...”
Excuse me while I practice my skill of wild speculation. (check my last post for a little background about the clock)
“Love is All Around” by the Troggs is a very different classic rock love song. The lyrics describe a passion. However there is this clock tick-tocking (mostly tocking) in the background and until now, I never understood why they would add such a sound to their song.
Finally, I think I have the answer.
That is the sound of a biological clock ticking in this woman’s body.

I know many people who seem to keep time with the pictured clock.
yeah who needs those pesky numbers. I thought you were going say with a bio-clock. thanks
I guess my bio clock never ticked because I had my child at the perfect age 28 and in that hospital room vowed they would never see me here again....probably took the batteries out of clock and never changed my mind.
I've heard descriptions of delivery that makes me wonder how moms have multiple children. I've been a witness to a few but being a spectator is not the same. thanks
:-) spoken like a true man.
I missed the who "clock ticking thing" so it's all a mystery to me. I never had one.. but I do have a husband that runs on a "whatever" clock.
Happy weekend, jj
thanks - maybe the different clock thing is like the different drummer thing.
Never gives in...just changes her mind and somehow it is the MAN's fault..haha
No clocks or watches in my life. But I sympathize with women who put things off and then realize they better get to business, baby business that is.
Wow you have seen the same thing, how interesting.
thanks
There are things in life that don't fit well into a schedule. I see life as being mostly messy and random.
thanks
I've never put much stock in the biological clock thing. I have an old friend from college who has a time issue. I sent him one of those clocks for his birthday a couple of years ago. LOL
It's good to know that not everyone buys into the bio-clock. I didn't know they sold the "whatever" clock. I never looked for one. thanks
