advice

I found this speech on G+ today.  It's long compared to many online clips but it is worth your time.  Towards the end (about 18:30 mark) he suggests for difficult tasks pretend you are someone who can do it.

Just after that he says:
"So be wise because the world needs more wisdom.   And if you can not be wise, pretend to be someone who is wise and then just behave like they would."

My ears had picked up on Gaiman's speech being a "Must Listen To," but cuckoo me up and forgot to track it down. Thanks for posting it. What a treat!

Glad you enjoyed it.  I didn't even recognize his name.  After looking him up I had heard of Coraline.  Interesting that it started as a typo.

Make good art....even if it is crappy.

I came over to read during "DEAR" time at school (Drop Everything And Read). I look forward to watching this later! Thanks.

Art is so subjective.  I could not judge it for anyone but myself.

I'm flattered that you would include A Few Clowns Short on your reading list.  Your kids should watch it too.

Of course, it takes a degree of wisdom to know how to behave as if you are wise!

You could study wise people but then if you are inclined to study you probably do have some wisdom.  thanks
