I've been using some Halloween type pictures in my recent posts. I like Halloween and even liked it more as a kid. I also consider the vampires I grew up with much scarier and cooler than the twilight vampires of today.
You can easily find many Halloween pictures on the web. There is a blog that appears to be dedicated to Halloween called 365 Days of Hallowe'en. Now that would be a too much for me. However, I want to share this very creative Halloween decoration I found on their blog.
Halloween = Vegetable Fun
(don't forget the Herbs)
Terry Border of "Bent Objects" has fun making funny strange photos all year round but he gets more than most from holidays. This is from a recent post of his:
I snapped these last two. Apes go well with most Holidays, but on Halloween who cares if you are an ape?
I've got a moose looking over my shoulder at me. Nothing really related to Halloween but a moose at a tavern just adds to atmosphere.
Visit Unknown Mami for more pictures on a Sunday. Click the button below to get there.

Is there really a King Kong on that building? Is it permanently installed? Where was it Lisleman? The foot and arm vegetable pots are cool scary, and today's twilight vampires are sexy.
Basil and Rosemary are hilarious. Is that photoshopped? I wonder if I could do that.
You found some great photos for this post. Even the moose head is cool.
I can't believe you don't liked todays Twilight Vampires....I love them and their rock hard abs! lol! Much better than the Grandpa from the Munsters! Hope you have a wonderful Sunday and a scary and sweet Halloween!
Perfect photos for this season. Happy Halloween!
I don't know but I think it would be easy to put Halloween props in a planter. Around here the planters go dormant by Halloween.
thanks
You bring up a good point. Vampires didn't need rock hard abs, just sharp teeth, stealthy moves and the ability to transform into a bat. Oh maybe a cape too. I was not thinking of the Munsters but more like Dracula and Bela Lugosi. Yes many of the Dracula were reruns by the time I watched them but they were classic.
A fake building in Branson MO. I took the picture in August. Vampires should not be sexy. I don't think drinking blood and flying around as a bat should be mixed in with sexiness.
I love the caramel apples! Awesome.
Absolutely love the herb garden - that got a "laugh out loud" for me.
The apples and oranges one is both creepy and funny.
It would be fun to make one.
Yeah a little creepy. I wonder how his mind came up with Orange. thanks
Basil and Rosemary crack me up! I'll have to remember them in the future!
Maybe we will be seeing more of them next Halloween.
thanks
Halloween has never thrived in Honduras. Despite marketing and displays in stores, it's a dud. So I am enjoying Halloween vicariously through pictures such are your display . I love the planters.
Wow I never thought about the value of a virtual Halloween. Glad to hear you like it.
Great pics. I feel sorry for apples now.
OMG, OMG, OMG, I sooooooooooooooo want to replicate Rosemary and Basil in my herb pots - they grow on the sill of my conservatory, and are one of the first things you see if you trundle down my drive - I simply ADORE that idea, thanks for the belly laughs!
Now that first photo is VERY Halloween-appropriate!
I agree 365 days of Halloween is a little too much. But I do love Halloween. One day I hope to be a little more festive, it seems everytime it rolls around I'm busy with other stuff. I hope you had a great Halloween Bill.
I love Halloween, too, as you saw from my latest post. Thanks for your comment.
The only thing not so great is the candy I have left over from all those cute little trick or treaters. I can't let it go to waste, can I . . .
Yes maybe the trick for the treats is don't buy too early or too much. We had more kids than last year which surprised me. thanks - excuse me, you just reminded me about that candy left over.
