This phrase comes from a song called “Mark Twain” by Michael Joy.
I feel like I’m on the outskirts of oblivion at times.
I tried to find a youtube clip of the song but there doesn’t appear to be one available. I’ve never seen his performance but I really like the lyrics to this song.
You can find the song and its lyrics on his web page.
I might just do a little traveling on the outskirts.

According to my hubby I need to lighten up so may traveling the road of oblivion is not so bad!!
Hehe yes, the title creates a resonance in my head ...
I don't think I'm quite ready for oblivion.
Happy trails.
Just listened to the song, I really like it. At times the outskirts are nice, but then maybe the center would be better :D
I found one song called Bakersfield on iTunes, so I checked out his site.
Are you on vacation? Did I miss something? You've been absent from blogland, hope all is ok.
I'm very curious about the fact that more and more lately, I'm seeing Mark Twain references. Hmmmm
