I’m like forget you

After the positive feedback of watching my follower count sloooowly increase to about 80 (now stop laughing you 100’s-and-1000’s-of-followers blog stars) I was sadden to see it start to drop down. I hope that’s not a trend.

baby baby baby why do you want a want a hurt me so bad?

You just wait until Gwyneth discovers this blog.

Ok I’m over it - really it’s OK. I’m OK.

Now ain’t that some shssst.

I lose a follower and gain one every week. It's awesome.

I don't even know how to un-follow people. But those counts make me crazy.

I don't watch Glee but she did a good job. Did that episode end with her being arrested for bedding an underage boy?

Follower numbers increase and decrease regularly. That is normal. For me, the numbers do not matter; the interaction with the ones interested in reading and commenting matters more.

I don't watch it either but I have seen youtube clips and SNL skits about it. I don't know the answer but we had a real life case of that happening in a nearby school. thanks

You are right about reading and commenting. The resulting interaction is much more rewarding than a number. Maybe it's like looking for a new restaurant and checking how crowded the parking lot is. After you have tried the food you know but until then seeing a crowd of people indicates others like the food. thanks for your many interactions.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, and your welcome on the Earshot intro! They are my favorite band {if you couldn't tell. :)}. I love GLEE, but unfortunately, Biggest Loser is my top Tuesday priority.

I do so love that song. I do also wish that Gwyneth didn't "chew" on the "forget you" part.

I've been through ups and downs with followers on my blog and my Facebook fan page and eventually just started to go... meh. I'm sure there are follwoers who never check the blog anymore so I figure it all balances out.

Mine went down too. Whatchagonnado?

I wouldn't worry about it. I'm guessing that the followers who jumped ship didn't comment or stop by often enough that you'll miss them.

I know I have followers, but I can't ever remember how how many, so there is no good or bad for me in the fluctuation. Since I'm not searchable on google, the count stays lowish, I think.

You certainly do have followers because comment numbers on your blog seem very constant. As it was mentioned in comments here the readers that comment are the important. I knew you change your URL awhile back but I didn't know you were unsearchable.

I wish that the followers count also included RSS followers. I know that I follow a lot of blogs using RSS instead of the follow button, only because it's easier for me to incorporate them into a Reader. I'm still surprised that there are 50ish people that I've never met in real life who regularly read my blog.

Yes I do the same thing with the reader. I don't use my reader as often as my blogroll which I have on another page (link is on the right side). I was reluctant to even add the followers thing because it seemed to be a popularity badge. Also, I get readers from facebook which are not counted in the follower thing.
thanks

I don't even blog or read blogs much anymore but the friends I've made are my friends for life. I've even lost a few friends when they passed away but I still consider them my friends.
Maybe I'm just weird.
I have had some people disappoint me and I'm not following them anymore but it was mutual.
I consider you a forever friend even though I don't visit you much anymore....sorry about that. Life and my job seriously cuts into my blogging time.

thank you and I do believe some strong relationship are built through blogging. Don't worry about visiting, blogs are time consuming things but I do appreciate any visits or comment you make. thanks
