now for something completely different

Maybe we don’t admit it all the time but we like change. At least some variety to the daily routine. Change the channel. But if it tips over to chaos, well then most want things to calm down.

You just can’t please all the people all the time.

But as Mick Jagger sang:
“You can't always get what you want - but if try sometimes, you might find, you get what you need ... “

(maybe these rock-n-roll bands were my free therapist back when these songs were not oldies)

I have no idea if anyone needs the following but -

I was over on youtube browsing around for what I don’t remember. (free tip - looking for something different? a change? go browse youtube)

Now if you are just drive-by browser you might want to click on your journey because for the rest of this to make any sense you will need to watch a few clips. You start with a clip from a news report - (maybe you are one of the millions that watched it)

Next somebody grabs the clip and adds the autotune to it. (I need to learn more about autotune)

Hey that sounds pretty good but it could use a few sexy dancers. Oh yeah, Beyonce is hot dancer lets mix it together.

So the next time you are interviewed by the local news channel. Choose your words carefully because you might become the next youtube singing sensation.

Youtube and autotune is changing the world even if we don't want the change.

I could use some change. Spare change.

BTW, I enjoyed these clips so much I made my husband take a break from homework and watch them too.

The woman who was getting her coffee didn't seem to need any more coffee, don't you think? She is hyper. I wonder if she is that way all the time. Nice post, lisleman. I know you find some great you tube videos. Keep up the good work.

thanks - that woman reminded of people I've met. Her rough sounding voice has me guessing that she smokes. I wonder if she knows about all the videos and watching related to her interview.

Youtube is a nice break but it can suck you in for longer than you plan.
Have a great weekend.

Which further proves you don't need to know how to sing...just have to have good tools.

Getting a mental illness vibe here, so it's hard for me to see it the way most people would.

I adore this kind of discovery. A number of my son's friends were making references on FB: "Hide yo wife! Hide yo kids!" So of course I googled it and discovered all sorts of fun things on youtube. Another super fun one is Miss Teen 2007 South Carolina and all the resulting parodies. I also love the MC Howie vids - there is something so charming about someone changing a pop song into a witty political song. Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gQdCHDuags

Wow. Oh. Wow. Those were hilarious. My husband came over to watch just the last one and didn't really get it, but that's... just special. I may have to look into this autotune thing.

You might be right. However anyone who just had a gun pointed at them and then witnessed people been shot would probably not be in a very stable frame of mind and would be talking with some nervousness.

What a hoot!!! I wonder if that woman knows she's a YouTube star.
Hope all's well with you Lisleman. Have a great week. jj

thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I visited your profile and couldn't decide which of your blogs to visit first but this title won out and then I saw the "Backing Up" videos. You made my morning. Too damn funny. I thought I heard the "eccentric witness" say she'd just "added another tab to my coffee" and aldl I could think of was LSD. She's on something that's for sure.

thanks for coming back her and checking this place out. Take a stroll through the tag cloud on the right side and you'll find some variety.
It's all free for the reading.
Not sure about what else but she was on caffeine for sure.

That was AWESOME! Let me know when you get my spider video autotuned!

This reminds me of that other famous news story song. Off to see if I can find it!

P.S. You should link this up on Saturday.

lisleman said...

Ok I'll take your suggestion. Autotune your spider clip. That's a good idea if I figure out how to autotune a video clip.

I know it's a terrible story, but man, the tuned version is hilarious.

First, the news story (for background): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y54yESyq6Io After you watch that, click on the "Bed Intruder Song" on the right side.

thanks I came across this when I found the "backin up" song.
I'm glad you are the type of person who can find humor in odd events. Is the term "dark comedy" what it is called? I bet you enjoyed the movie "Fargo". I thought it was hilarious. I also enjoyed "Pulp Fiction". Some people are too serious or just can't look past the serious side of things. I'm not saying one or the other is right or wrong. For myself I enjoy "lightening up" and not taking life so serious.
