talk of monday on a thurday night

It's Thursday night here.  Maybe it's Friday where you are?  Either way I'm thinking of Monday.
Why do we put down Monday?

My guess is because Monday brings an end to the fun of the weekend. This sculpture has that “somebody is having the mondays” look to it.

It’s an umbrella only a duck could love.
