Lesley Gore left the world too soon

Today the legendary singer-songwriter Lesley Gore, died.  She was only 68.

The song I remember the best from her sixties hits was "California Nights".  After I had daughters later in life, I thought her other hit, "You Don't Own Me" had a much better message for all girls.
