lights at the zoo

I recently walked (rode the tram too) through the lights at the Brookfield Zoo.  I took a few pictures.

Too many Christmas trees to count.

I love the tree that seems to have running lights. I wish more PEOPLE had signs that announce a break from talking. Trees? They can talk all day as far as I am concerned.

Really what is more annoying than a talking tree that doesn't shut-up? As you can surmise, I didn't get into an arboreal conversation. I've always wanted to ask about the nesting than occurs in trees.
thanks

love the blurred lights! Very pretty. Our talking tree was named Bruce the Spruce. :)

Was there really some kind of talking tree that wasn't working? Or am I being gullible and not understanding? (Which wouldn't be unusual.) The blurred lights are cool looking.

I like all the blurred lights.

Maybe I'm gullible too. I think they have an intercom system put in the tree and maybe a staff member answers questions? I don't think the sign was a joke but it was funny. thanks

where do you have a talking tree? I'll assume it is at some Christmas event because if you tell me there are talking trees in the WI woods, I'll say you have been in the woods way too long.
thanks

haha Bruce was around in the 1970's, in a local department store. Today, he can be found in a local museum display of that department store's collection :)

thanks - from the comments I think many do like that sense of movement. The movement came from the tram we were on and the shutter/exposure time is slowed down on the night camera setting.

I found the tree sign funny. What a clever way to denote that someone is off duty. Gosh, it has been years and years since I have been to Brookfield Zoo. Glad to know that it is still there.
