Unknown Mami, summer hostess of Friday Fragments (as a title that would be SHoFF) lives near the sea but I don’t know if she has fished there. You can catch fragments there during the summer.
I miss the days of stupid phones and smart people. This past week we passed an idiot driver in a corvette staring at his smartphone while cruising down the expressway.
The best way to remove lipstick is by kissing right? Not that I’m a big kisser but I’ve been reading the bio on Jim Croce and their dating period was just covered. It brought back memories of making out.
comic comments -- I try to be funny. It’s tough being funny with just text on a screen without the tone of your voice. Months ago Bearman Cartoons left this comment on a post:
One of the enjoyments of my past biz travel was sharing jokes. There were some guys with great material and delivery. One liners and short ones are a great way to get it going.
I heard that this sales rep I worked with had a trophy wife. I got to meet her once. I guess he had won second or third place.
Lisleman’s limited research shows “opt out” (don’t think that term was used much 20 years ago) is becoming more and more important. Consider this informative useful article: AT&T Considers Selling Your Browsing History, Location, And More To Advertisers. Here’s How To Opt Out (too long of a title but a good article to read)
Did you read my post about discovering an idea creation trend I seem to have? (every once in a taco I get inspired) One my current July ideas is starting a new group call OGWB (old guys with blockage).
Memory recall is never easy for most us. I’m thinking if I need an appointment around the middle of the day I should make it for 1:23. What’s easier than 1 2 3?

Ok you had me going for a minute.
I replied: That's great, hope you had somewhere to go. thanks

Heh! ... when I'm passenger in a car I often spend my time taking up-the-nose pics of oncoming cars ... looking at the images afterwards I'm sometimes horrified at how distracted some drivers are when they're passing you at a combined speed of about 140mph ...
Wow I needed to reread your comment. Ok, you said "passenger in a car". I have not taken many pictures from a car. Often I do see odd things that a picture would be good to have. The new stabilization feature on cameras does make that type of picture taking better. We are having a distracted driver problem on our roads more and more. thanks
My daughter, the hairdresser, cuts hair for an elderly man who is part of a group called ROMEO...Real Old Men Eating Out. They meet once a week for lunch or dinner. What fun! I agree, there are just too many distracted drivers these days. We all need to pay better attention when we are on the road. Good post!
I wonder why trophy husbands aren't on display. 1) there are none; 2) etcetcetc
Do keep on about distracted driving; too much cannot be said.
I've bookmarked that opt-out article for phones - I try to control as much as I can about my information being distributed.
I like the sound of that group. Maybe I should start a local branch of the group. thanks
Good point that honestly never occurred to me. I bet there are wives who would like to hang their husbands on the wall. thanks
I actually did not check the article's referenced links yet. Most of the info discussed in the article and worth money to them comes from smartphone internet usage. I still have a dumb flip phone and this gives me yet another reason to keep it. thanks
"Stupid phones and smart people" - good one! I like your funny comments. I still remember (well, I guess it wasn't that long ago) your reply to me when I commented on something on your blog and called it the moon instead of mars, and you said, "Well, same solar system, so that's ok." It just really made me giggle.
And OGWB? Now, when you say "blockage", you're talking about memory blockage? Or is that guy reading the newspaper, on the toilet? Oh wait...or is it a double meaning? Ahhh, I get it. Hee hee.
You just provided me a third meaning. I didn't think of memory. The one you didn't mention was the one I was thinking of - blockage of the arteries. Good to hear you enjoyed the post. thanks
I'm with on on the stupid phones and smart people--have a feeling those days are gone for good!
The trophy wife line was classic!!!
I hate when people are on their cell phones while driving. It's setting a bad example for the next generation, not to mention very, very dangerous!
The trophy wife made me chuckle. I had to tell my husband that one! He laughed a little too loudly. ;-)
You are probably right. It's sad in many ways. thanks
thanks
"a little too loudly" - that's funny. You didn't want him to enjoy that joke too much? thanks
I see people all the time looking down at phones in their cars while driving. I am surprised there aren't more wrecks than there are.
Funny line about 2nd or third place on the trophy wife.
Let AT&T sell my browser history. It makes no sense what so ever as I am always looking things up for blogs. The worst that will happen is that people will assume I am crazy.
To help you with the blockage thing....if it's plumbing related, plenty of water and a good brisk walk usually gets things moving :)

I can't remember my password and I am having problems retrieving it.
I need a smart phone because......well the Superhero said it this morning.....:)
One must listen to superheroes. Don't be tugging on your superhero's cape either. thanks
Your idea of the browser info is funny. I'm not sure what type of psychotic drug ads would show up for craziness. I wonder if anyone has been targeted with say AA membership ads. I guess I should do a few searches for cheap liquor, ammo, and lawyers everyday. thanks for idea
Well don't try to figure out you password here. That would not be very safe or secure. Passwords are a pain for everyone.
Great comeback to Bearman!
thanks
A B C, easy and 1 2 3.
If I had a husband, I wouldn't want a trophy husband. I am rather short, so dusting him off on a shelf would be hard sometimes. I may need a ladder to get the top of head clean.
Keep it simple - thanks
Husband on a shelf - hey it's better than putting one on a pedestal.
thanks
