"... lack of granularity and specificity with respect to its growth plans, and uncertainty surrounding ..." Who writes this biz BS? Is that all you get from a MBA - corporate lingo?
There's constant uncertainty here a A Few Clowns Short and today I offer you a post with granularity or in other words, fragments off my fingertips. For more granularity from around blogland visit the summer hostess of FF, Unknown Mami.
I just created this modified old photo of my brother and I so I need to use it.
Do you ever tire of the google doodles? I don't. I like the motion and color of this recent one.
Off in the near future people will chuckle about how past generations were surprised by talking gadgets and then they will turn and tell the story to their ever listening robot.
Reminiscing makes memories in the mirror look better.
Have you heard about the SciFy movie, Sharknado? (Cheryl posted about it) Such a dumb idea that they received an unwarranted amount of attention. Tornados with sharks - even dumber than the old movie “Tremors” which provided degrees closer to Kevin Bacon for many. (notice I have not received even a shark’s tooth for this post, nor do I know Kevin) Lisleman prediction the phrase “jumped the sharknado” will replace “jumped the shark”.
I have a vague idea what a sundress is. I would like to know if there are moondresses. Also is it a faux pas to wear a sundress after the sun sets?
If my wife’s name was Roxanne, I would not be able to resist saying, “Roxanne you don’t have to wear that dress tonight.”
I think Dylan’s song “It Ain't Me Babe” should be updated for today. “It Ain’t Me NSA”
Oh how romantic - 9% of adult smartphone users admit to using their smartphone during sex. “Oh we made love by the glow of our smartphones and he pushed all the wrong buttons.” (hmm is there an love app I have not heard of?)
Thanks until next time -
I have become comfortably posted. (trail off with mellow guitar riff)

I like the picture of you with your brother. Love the sign. haha!
I must confess, I've never seen a google doodle.
Tremors!! Oh yeah!! How could I forget that one. ;-)
I like the name Roxanne. I do not like the band 'Police'.
I'm surprised it's only 9%. I am NOT in that 9%, in case you were wondering.
Have a great weekend!
Always love reading your fragments. That is a fantastic photo of your brother : ) Clever update!
Cute picture of you and your brother and I love the google thing too! They can be so creative with that, especially their holiday ones. I haven't heard of Sharknado, but I actually liked Tremors. I know. I'm a dork. I'd heard that smartphone statistic too. Maybe they were looking up how-tos?? Great frags, as always!
thanks - yes the doodles are creative and typically a surprise to me.
thanks - it was fun to modify the old picture
When I read "only 9%", I did start to wonder. Good thing you cleared that up. Didn't like Police? I enjoyed most of their songs. You must search things without going to the main google page or you use Bing or another one. You're a blogger you must search things - right? thanks
Well aren't you just the nicest blogger friend to put a mention in your post. BUT if the phrase "jump the shark" becomes "jump the sharknado" it probably is a sign that the end of the world in near. As for the movie Tremors....not a movie that I enjoyed but it was far better than the Sharknado debacle,
Seriously, 9 percent of the people are messing with their phones during sex. Are they watching tutorials? Porn? Checking in with their girlfriends/wives/mothers???? I have questions...lots and lots of questions.
:D
Great fragments. I've never seen a jumping shark or even a jumping carp, I have however seen a flying cow. (only in Iowa)
I somehow doubt that 9% includes those that are having sex on their smartphones. It makes one wonder if modern technology will stunt procreation.
Great picture of you as a future blogger. I love the Sharknado idea. SciFy makes really, really bad movies that are so bad that they are somehow fun to watch.
I like to recognize a good post when I read one. After I posted this it occurred to me that these 9% should be disqualified from the "adult" category. Really how immature is that? Good you have questions because questions keep the blogs running.
thanks
"stunt procreation" - one can only hope some do get removed from the gene pool of the future. A flying cow? Tornado? thanks
Maybe it depends on the mood or what you have been drinking for these dumb movies. There is a bit of how bad can this get that draws you in. thanks
Sharknado is pretty amazing. The not cute guy from 90210 is a star again! Ha! Now that's a "claim to fame".
Great pic of you and your brother. Isn't it amazing that when we were kids the Internet or a blog weren't even invented!
Happy Friday, Frag. jj
Funny fragments! I appreciate your sense of humor :)
Love the picture of you and your brother! I know a few young adults with a nerdy sense of humor who are watching Sharknado. It must be over my head. LOL Using smartphones during sex? I can see that. :)
thanks - yes the tech changes are amazing and has me wondering what the next 10 years will bring. I hope it has nothing to do with sex and smartphones.
thanks always good to share a laugh
I watched a 2 minute summary on the internet. That was all I needed. You can see smartphones during sex? That could be the problem since they have cameras. thanks
The gene pool could use a bit of filtering.
Oh that flying cow was not in a tornado, the silly farmer forgot to latch the trailer gate and two cows and a calf flew out the back when he went over a series of bumps. Thankfully my son has extremely good reflexes and was able to avoid hitting them, although I was sure one was going to land on our hood. :D
The kids played with a really big 'smartphone' type of device and they loved it. It amazes me how computers and gadgets have gotten 'smarter' over the years.
Now that it's over and everyone (except the cows that I assume didn't make it) are ok you should post about it. If you did post about it already let me know I would like to learn more about such an unusual accident.
JJ, you and I are in agreement about the amazement of this tech world. Was this big smartphone at a museum? thanks
Flying fish, big phones, sundresses, moondresses, no dresses...wow, you're on fire tonight! I have become comfortably posted....gotta love Floyd.
That biz lingo is catchy. I took a few workshops and read a few books and now I say stuff like, "Take ownership of the business." and "It's a part of our culture."
That picture you recreated is great and yes I love the stuff google does.
I have to admit Sharknado intrigues me, only because I love sharks and campy stuff. I still haven't seen it.
The picture is adorable of you and your brother. I need to be more creative with photos.
This whole watching, spying, phone, e-mail now license plates is just getting creepier. I'm sure its been done for a LONG time and I kinda rather not know about it but wow what a mess.
Someone should design moondresses, I wish I was good at that kind of stuff.
What?! phones during sex?! WTH
I love the cute/funny photo of you and your brother. LOVED the Roxanne comment, too :) Have a great weekend!!
I loved the picture of you as a kid, too. The smartphone sex thing will probably grow into a bigger percentage.....think of how many folks watch TV during sex....reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George eats a big sandwich during sex. God, I miss that show.
thanks - I don't remember that episode but I agree it was a great show. One with George I'll always remember is the shrinkage due to swimming one.
thanks - yes many things should just stay out of a couple's bed.
So what would a moondress look like? Darker version of a sundress? thanks
Take ownership of your words would be a good thing. Too much of that lingo and you start to sound like a parrot. thanks
thanks for catching the Floyd reference. Fire? Not sure about that but once in awhile some ideas bounce around and set off other ideas.
That phone thing is crazy!!! I don't need a smart phone, they get too smart for their plastic...
I love that old photo!! Technically you used it today, but what a fun edit!!
I happen to love Cash, so that's a great tune adaptation. Sometimes I wonder if it is me they are looking for. According to a guy in PA and TN, Christians are terrorists ;-)
too smart for their plastic - good one! I know Johnny Cash had a hit with that song but I think of Dylan singing it. The big brother protection requires trust and lately it seems that's gone down. thanks
