guess where I was

I took a short trip with family recently.  There might be a reader or two who has been here too (let me know).

( hey any MooseJaw marketing people want to work an ad deal here?
let me know see contact page above )

It was the first time I've spent time in the Wisconsin Dells during the winter.

It was her first time too!

More photos from around the internet at Unknown Mami's blog.

Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan? Or just a wanna be in WI?

Is that your granddaughter or just a randomly adorable child?

They have lots of pictures of Moose Jaw Canada but yes it was in WI. I don't know if there is a business connection or they just liked the name.
Yes that's our youngest granddaughter full of smiles and grins.
thanks

I have been to Wisconsin a few times but never to the Dells.

Your little grand daughter is AWESOMELY ADORABLE!!!

My regularly visited friends in Wisconsin explain to me the state is one generation closer to the soil than mine, accounting for their open hospitality, genuine goodness and the availability of a great fish fry any winter Friday night. I can attest to all of that, including watching the wedding party dance the funky chicken at the bar. Big people alternating with little people.

The Dells is a very touristy area. It's similar to Branson MO. thanks

closer to the soil - interesting idea. They are closer to the cows than most states. I've had fun times up (for me it's up) there many times.
thanks

Funny since we don't really HAVE moose in Wisconsin.

I've been to the Dells many times - - - but not to Moose Jaw.

The care is very funny - - - and even though it is rather gross, even the back end is funny.

I don't know if I have ever seen the close up of a moose's behind. Thank you, Lisleman. Thank you so very much for the exposure to the entertainment of folks up north.

Never been to Wisconsin that I can recall. But I take pleasure in pretending that I think a friend of mine from Montana is from Wisconsin instead.

lisleman said...

Your pleasure in pretending is slightly confusing to me. Does your friend know you pretend about this? Does it bother the Montana friend that they would be tagged as a Wisconsin person. MT. and WI. of course are as different as the states TN. and LA. I guess this is an inside joke. thanks

I have never been that close either. It would be interesting to be behind that in traffic. thanks

I don't ever recall seeing moose in WI. I have never been up in or near the UP. Don't they have moose around the UP? thanks

The first time it was an honest mistake on my part. But when I saw how much he disliked being accused of being from Wisconsin I went with it.

Looks like fun - and not as cold as I would have guessed!

It was fun and the temps were just around freezing which is not bad.

Did they serve Mooseburgers?

lisleman said...

No I didn't see that on the menu. Good selection of beers and pizza.

A red PT Cruiser - that's probably fun to drive. Yes you would be well known around town with a moose on top. thanks
