lucky blogger

I’m a lucky blogger.

I’m lucky/fortunate/blessed to have followers that leave comments. In this exchange of comments and reading your blog posts I get ideas. Might not be the greatest idea since sliced bread but ideas nonetheless.

A small group of my small group of followers (that would be an elite commented group) entertained me with comments on a “blog fan” picture I posted weeks ago.  (I want to think she is reading A Few Clowns Short)

Now I have no evidence that Sheryl Crow has ever browsed my blog. I don’t even know if she has time or cares to be online much. I would not call my blog a fan blog but I have mentioned her and her performances many times over the years.

But please share your opinion of Lisleman's latest loopy idea.  Could I possibly generate a bit of positive energy that she or a staff member (she has band so must have a staff right?) would pick up if I continue to post pictures of her as a big Lisleman fan.

Here's my latest favorite "blog fan picture".

The positive story I’m sticking to about that great picture above is this -

Two years ago I included the following picture in a post about a Chicago outing. Those shades are not even mine but I think they made the picture. So Sheryl goes browsing blogs one day and who knows (I believe) she is attracted to white beards. She sees my blog post and slowly (anyone know if she drinks occasionally?) becomes enamored with Lisleman. Now she carries around my photo with her on tour.

Sheryl (or your extensive staff),

If you read this and would like to get a signed autograph copy of it then please meet me at the corner of Kennett St. and Sheryl Crow Dr. You know where it is at.  Life is a winding road you know.

Sincerely,
Lucky Lisleman

thanks - It's long long shot but it was fun to put together. It really would be fun to swap autograph photos. Even better to get free concert tickets.

Good luck with your project. I've seen some amazing things happen through social media. You never know, she could leave a comment here herself for you.

Are you linking your post to twitter? If so I bet her staff is alerted to anything with her name associated.....she could be your number one non commenting fan....

I am thinking she is thinking you are a psycho stalker..haha

lisleman said...

I hope not. I've only have been to one concert. The pictures of her are from her facebook page. I did happen to drive through her home town because it was on the way to my brother's in nowhere Missouri.

I don't tweet except in the shower occasionally. number one non commenting fan - good one - I would never know.
thanks

thanks - I thought about that and realized I would not believe it was from her.

If only you could be her favorite mistake...

:D I like Sheryl Crow! That first photo is superb. Even as I type, who knows, she might be on her way here, to comment :D

thanks - I took the "sliced bread" photo in Missouri and the linked post explains more. Sheryl shares many pictures on FB. I wonder if she has time to look at all of them.

Hoping that Sheryl finds you!

thanks - there's always that slight chance

Isn't this the kind of thing that gets used as evidence against you at your stalking trial? :-)

I just heard Sheryl Crow on the Splendid Table a few weeks ago, it was good. http://splendidtable.publicradio.org/listings/110611/

lisleman said...

thanks - I'm not familiar with that program but I'll check it out.

My trial ? I'm not a stalker. See reply to Bearman. Hey I'm going to mark your comment down as a fun poke at me which I probably am overdue for many more.

I think you are becoming obsessive. ;-)

Well those blue shades are
pretty awesome, Bill, so I have no doubt Sheryl would become immediately enamored
if she had a chance to see that photo, and that she’d give her staff
instructions to track you down...and she’d offer you free tickets for life to
all of her concerts...and invite you to do lunch...and dessert. :D

wow you are such a believer! can I call you tinker bell? thanks

lisleman said...

you think? The dumber story is - the other day I thought, "I've have not gone to Sheryl FB page in weeks I'm going to check it out." I found a pic of her kissing a picture and a little photo processing later I had a blog post. But you must agree that story is not as fun as above post story. thanks

Sheryl's awesome. Such a tough, classy, smart chick. I am sure she wants you. Of course she does. :)

lisleman said...

She is very classy. Have you seen her White House performances? She doesn't need to want me just come and visit the blog (without any lawyers). thanks

Secret Agentwoman said...

That's all it was. I know you aren't really a stalker.

Reena Walkling said...

How could she resist you in those shades?!!

lisleman said...

I guess that's what makes the shades popular. thanks

I'm surprised you haven't already been contacted.

Hey if your people know her people then drop a word in amongst the peoples.

And guess who was at my workplace this week? Yep, you guessed it, Sheryl Crow! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2179514/Sheryl-Crow-takes-delighted-sons-meet-dolphin-SeaWorld.html

lisleman said...

cool - so did you get to speak to her? If so, did you tell you know a blogger that wants to trade autographs with her?
thanks for this news.

tracismixedbag said...

I did not, someone else did her tour. I didn't even know she was in the park until one of my coworkers told me.

I so love this post. Makes me smile every time I read it. Yep, she is pretty great hey? How does Mrs Lisleman feel about this or does she let you follow your dreams lol.

Good question. She did join me at Sheryl's concert in my hometown a couple of years ago. She has watched her with me during TV concerts. She doesn't like her as much as me. I think she tolerates my crazy fantasy. Lucky for me one of her favorites, Sinatra is already dead.
thanks
