Back home now but most of my time over the last 3 days have been spent in Indiana. Have you been to Indiana? Do you live in Indiana?
I hope not to offend anyone but I don’t care much for Indiana. There are beautiful interesting places to find there but I can’t say I’ve found many there. Now Illinois is probably not the most liked place either but I grew up in Illinois and live here now. There are many reasons to form opinions on a place but I do know Illinois has provided the feds plenty of governors to investigate over the years which might have been good for a federal prosecutor career.

I have not of given Indiana too much of a chance. Most all my Indiana related trips were ones of just passing through the state. Driving the length of the state on I-65 is not too exciting. During my late teens I considered the Indianapolis Motor Speedway one the coolest places ever and I only ever made it there for time trials (much cheaper than the race tickets).

Don't think I had been to Indiana but not sure. Got to look at the map. Was wondering where you went :)
Indiana doesn't view well from the interstate highways. The bluffs and the sheer drop into the Ohio River valley is magnificent, small part of the state that it is.
What part of the Ohio/Indiana border. That is a long stretch.
the southern part - just north of I-74
I would agree you could say the same about Illinois and certainly Nebraska. Hills, lakes and rivers do make a difference.
thanks
It can be one of those states people don't remember. Better than the state of confusion though.
thanks
Nice shots! I lived in Carmel Indiana when I was in 8th grade! It was pretty rural...I was lucky enough to go to the Indy 500 but most likely wasted on my youth! I remember being scared to death in school there.....back than they paddled the kids that acted out...needless to say i was a good kid!
I have a cousin in Carmel. As I said I have not been to the race but I've learned that the stands vs. the infield makes a big difference in the race experience. We were all good kids - right?
Nope, can't say that I've ever been and your review is not enticing me.
I had an OK trip and the family party was fun. I stopped myself from ranting about the state because there are spots people to go to see such as covered bridges. You Californians have a bounty of natural beauty around your state. You are all spoiled, I bet.
thanks
I think you've summed up most peoples' feelings about the state! Indiana is just ok :)
