two questions tuesday

Relax these are not timed questions but often the best answers are the quick ones. Are you wondering why I’m questioning you? Yeah I hate that too especially if I’ve been pulled over by one of those fancy fast cars with flashing lights. Why doesn’t a flattering remark such as, “Your flashing lights are fascinating” get me out of a ticket?

But wait, those questions were rhetorical. Please answer these thought provoking questions.

  1. If you were picking away the moments that make up a dull day, what wondrous exciting happening would brighten your day?
  2. The following is a twist on a question I’ve seen around blogland a few times. If you traveled a few years into the future and returned today, what would be the best bit of information you could bring back for yourself?

No pressure on the answers. Simple answers work. I know having one of my kids sharing time and buying me a beer has brighten my day.

I'm going to respond to your second question before your two questions:

My buddy got busted in a speed trap in the middle of  nowhere ...

The Cop surveyed all the dead bugs on the grille and windscreen and remarked dourly "This is Culpable  Homicide"

My friend burst out laughing uncontrollably ...

... the Cop let go without a fine.

So you want to make money?  Send me some and then I'll meet you in the future sometime and share a profit.
However please remember money can't buy you love but it will cover a cheap date.
thanks

Future questions answered..... If Joey still has his leg or not and if he does is the leg healthy and pain free?

News that we were going to go to take a vacation to the beach.  Plane tickets, bags packed, money stashed away and ready to just go :)

I'd probably clue myself  in to what is going to be the biggest trends, etc. so that I could be one of the first to jump on them and be ahead...maybe even financially.

I have what I want and know what I want to know, but your line and OneStoned made remember the two best tickets I avoided.  Remembering I used to be a young woman, 1) You sure caught me daydreaming through your little town; 2)  Don't make me get out of this car!  My mother would die if I got a ticket in this outfit.

For the record, I've been pulloved over four times; one ticket.

Break up and dull day....someone else making dinner would send me over the moon and back!
Bring back from the future......hummmmm....a magic pill that makes you lose weight so this whole exercise BS can stop once and for all!

"My mother would die if I got a ticket in this outfit"  - wow that's a good original one.  Thanks for the laugh.

A trendsetter huh?  I'm probably a trendsitter - I've been sitting on old trends that are long gone.  thanks

Tell your family to come over here and read your comment.  Now does the dinner need to taste good?  Does burnt toast and a glass of wine count?  Magic pill - see I knew those big pharma commercials were ruining everyone.

Funny you mention that particular lyric. I laugh at myself now, but for years and years I thought it went "moments that make up a DOG day."

The future me comes back and tells the now me to enjoy each moment.  To stop worrying abouat future things and dwelling on past. To be In The Now.

1. If the sun is shining and I have alone time to relax. The older I get the more I like my own company. That's probably because my daughter has been staying with me for 10 weeks and leaves for NYC tomorrow.
2. definitely if my health will be ok. It would mean I may make different decisions

As for the boys in blue. I have been pulled up a few times and never booked. What can I say I am a good story teller and can cry on cue.

Hey Bill
1. Receiving a phone call from a really good friend and chatting and catching up for 2 hours.
2. What the weather would be like on each of those future days.  Planning events and walks etc on sunny days would be a treat.

Take care

Your future self has good advice.  A dog day might not be too bad, many get treated quite well.  thanks

The simple pleasure of a day dream is very nice.  Global peace in the future?  If we all made it a goal it could happen.
thanks

A relaxing sunny day sounds nice.  I think alone time is refreshing.  I believe people need to like themselves and their place to enjoy alone time.  Health is very important but I don't know if I would want to know the future outcome of mine.
I can picture you sweet talking and crying your way out of a ticket.
thanks

I'm enjoying these comments.  Refreshing to see others opting for simple things.  Never thought of getting the certainty of a future day.  Would be good for an event planner.  thanks

A little bit of milk chocolate in a candy bar or warm cookie is very nice.  I'm not a big chocolate lover.  I don't even like chocolate cake.
My problem with the lottery numbers would be waiting.  So I come back with these numbers and need to wait years to use them.  I don't know if I could do it.
thanks

1. I'll have to agree with you ... a call or surprise visit and time spent with my kids would make my day! (2nd best... having a million dollars fall into my lap!)
2. I wouldn't want to know!

lisleman said...

 1. - darn you don't have buckets of money available either?  Where have all the rich bloggers gone?
2. Coming back from the future with important information might be a big burden.
thanks
