I like robots
BUT
they should not be allowed to use the phone to call people. It’s bad enough to have one answer the phone when you have a service issue to resolve but I don’t like them calling me at all. It's down right disrespectful to homo sapiens.
This is the wishin season not the bitchin season (that’s mid-April for most Americans) so I’m going to zip my rant. But just one more little point. The Medco wacko robot was calling my wife so I couldn't even take care of it.

I must confess I'm a bit afraid of robots - you can't reason with them ... or can you?
Yikes, it's not like you can even flip the "off" button on them, when they take to calling from a distance.. (shudder)
Robocalls are the WORST! I haven't had to deal with them too much since we went cell phone only last year, but I hear that they're going to start allowing companies to spam cell numbers now, too. In my opinion, that could easily violate the first law of robotics - "A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm." Unless, of course, we ban cell phones while driving.
I guess the programmer could reason with them. You might be able to tempt them with batteries.

I just don't answer the phone. But listening to the automated messages on the recorder is even annoying.

That first law came from the Sci-fi writer didn't it? Robocalls are the evil invention of corporations. The terminator never said, "I'll call back." Don't you get unsolicited telemarketing calls on your cell phone? I have gotten a few and know others that get them.
The nice thing about robotic calls, though, is that I don't even feel I need to say anything before I hang up.

I am not a fan of robo calls. They run only second to calls from Politicians!!! W.C.C.
