thanks AARP for the big 5-oh news

The first page I check in the AARP magazine is the 5-oh page. Guess who’s odometer is turning over to 50?

I always confuse her with Melanie Griffith (4 yrs older).

Yes, Meg Ryan of “When Harry met Sally” will celebrate 50 in November. A little bit of searching the web confirmed that I am not the only one who confuses these two actresses.

I would not make a good celebrity. The prying eyes of the public and media would push me deep into seclusion. Also the worry of nut-cases such as the killer of John Lennon for example would be a burden.

That's not to say I would not enjoy meeting Meg Ryan. It would be fun to have lunch with her like Billy Crystal did.

Of course if you would like to spread some good PR for “A Few Clowns Short”, please do. I’m not worried about getting booked on any talk shows anytime soon.

What did you ask Hillary that got her all excited!?

Meg Ryan the actress is very talented. I don't know how the actors get themselves psyched to play a part, be that person, fall for the co-star, think they are "in love", have affair during the filming and when the movie making process is over, they go home to their husband or wife to resume their real life. Not all actors take it that far, but I would venture to say that most of them do. As to turning fifty, Meg's cute little face will always be Meg's cute little face.

She will always be beautiful, regardless of age, won't she?

I'm dreading the day AARP shows up at my house....but the discounts are sweet!

Yet another celebrity who has had "work" done to try to hold onto youth.  I'm more impressed by real people aging gracefully.

Sadly she was cute but I think she got some bad plastic surgery

What happened to Meg's face is the question I need an answer too. She looks like the Joker.

The magazine picture was a type of drawing I think made from a picture.  Probably some photoshop type of process.  Judging from the questions here, I should have researched more recent pics of her.  I don't follow her.
thanks

Oh maybe just a bad caricature.
thanks

Oh I agree about aging gracefully and naturally.  But then I'm not in their shoes with having my picture taken all the time.  The public attention along with having the money might change my mind about getting a little work around the edges.  Their worlds are very different than mine.
thanks

Don't dread it - celebrate it - it means you have survived this long.
thanks

Yes I think she has a natural cuteness to her.  Absolutely no idea about her real personality.  Maybe I should find a picture of her on a motorcycle for you.
thanks

They live in a different world.  Easy for them to slip into this very out-of-touch fake world.  I also wonder if all their acting leaves them wondering when it is real in their real life.
thanks.

Oh let me think - hmm - Oh yeah, I said her haircut gave her the look of Meg Ryan.
thanks

Always liked Meg but not her recent surgeries hanging onto her youth!

I don't really pay much attention to who is getting what lifted, stretched, or enhanced but if you say so I'll believe you.  My only point was to welcome her to the other side of the hill.  I believe you should enjoy being natural but as I replied earlier maybe the pressures are a little different in her world.
thanks

Funny you should mention having lunch with Meg Ryan.  My cousin had dinner with her and John Mellencamp a few months back.  His friend worked for John and they spent a few days together.  Totally cool.

that is very cool.  So what are they like?  thanks for sharing
