Friday fragment flippin report

Breaking News:

Lisleman photographs Flippin squad car
Details at ten.

I glad that we didn't meet the Flippin judge.  Yes, I drove through Flippin AR. on my trip with my king-of-the-road uncle (see last post).

Well if there ever is a Friday Fragments party, it should be held in Flippin.  The town is named after an early settler, Thomas J. Flippin.

Oh, it's just down the road from Yellville.

I'm sure you have figured this out - it's Friday Fragments time.  Mrs 4444 had to change her name on google+ but she's not changing her FF routine.  Go check it out.

Mommy's Idea

I thought it was hot and humid up here.  The Ozarks were worst.  Thank goodness for A/C in the cars and homes.  Even the lake was warm and the few cold spots were hard to find.

It sure is nice to have the flexibility to extend your vacation plans to stay an extra day for a dock party.  It might be called a noodle party, because most of us floated on our noodles in the lake.  My uncle's noodle didn't float so he entertained the women who were off their noodles on the dock.

Speaking of small towns, I was surprised to read about my small town.  Lisle made CNN Money's list of top towns for rich and single.  I am neither but I do live here.  I need to work on way to take advantage of this.

All the fresh water and air these past days cleared my head of most fragments so I'm just going to leave you with one more.

I am not sure at what age you can get away with saying slightly crude/off-color things to ladies but my king-of-the-road uncle certainly has reached that age.  He is constantly trying to get a laugh.  Most find him cute and charming.

One of his that I heard repeated often during the trip - onion butt.  It gave him great pride and pleasure to enlighten a woman about her onion butt.

Any guesses?   I'll answer in the comments.

Onion butt?  I have no idea.  It doesn't sound like a compliment.

No clue either but I can only imagine! Love the name of little towns! Have a great weekend!

Hmmmm, onion butt. Peel off layers to get to the butt?

Onion butt???  The thought of looking at it makes him cry??

lisleman said...

You got it!  Just a slight change with his version.  He says, "When old guys like us see one it brings tears to our eyes."
Had you heard that one before?
thanks

good answer - see Bearman cartoons answer that was after yours.
thanks for guessing.

thanks - you have a good weekend too.

I think he considers it a compliment.  I'm pretty sure most women only want comments about their bodies from people they know.
see "Bearman cartoons" correct answer which was after yours.

NO but I am not sure if he is crying because it is a nice butt or an ugly one.

lisleman said...

It's because he is too old to enjoy the possibilities it might offer.

love the cop car photo!

lisleman said...

thanks - it's real.  I do wonder if they get lots of questions about their name.

Those F*** police in Flippin. I would love to live there. Oh those Flippin teachers! The list is endless, isn't it? I once worked in a small town called Paradis. And it was NOT Paradise. For sure. Interesting though that it was borded by another small town called Boutte, and the e was not silent. Think about it. BTW, your uncle needs to get his hormones checked before I give him something that will make him really cry, not out of joy, either.

When you look like I do, there is no way I could ever get away with talking about women andd their VEGGIE TAILS! W.C.C.

I have never heard of onion butt, and I worked at a chemical plant with MEN for 13 years. I thought I'd heard everything!

lisleman said...

You haven't met my uncle.
thanks

veggie tail - sounds better
thanks

He certainly has come across those that didn't appreciate his "humor".
thanks

That police car picture cracked me up!

lisleman said...

Yeah me too, I had my brother turn around so I could get a picture of it.  I do wonder what the Flippin citizens think of their town name.  I'm sure they get sick of the jokes.
thanks

Okay, I cheated and scrolled down!  I'm amazed your King-of-the-Road Uncle has managed to live so long to get to that  certain age..!

Sounds like you guys are having a blast on your holiday, or are you back now? If so, curious minds demand to see photographic proof of this trip!

lisleman said...

Yes I'm back and that Flippin picture was from the trip.  I plan to post more pics soon.
thanks

You are just too funny and I guess you get it from the uncle!  Onion butt??? I think I would slap him am I missing something????
Have a great weekend and think of us trying to figure out what to do during a hurricane.  The earthquake was just enough trauma for one week...jeeze...

lisleman said...

I should ask him how many times he has been slapped.  I heard a few stories of him being punched.
So far the hurricane doesn't look too bad.  Stay dry.
thanks

OMG--Your uncle's hilarious. At my age, I'll take that kind of "compliment" from anyone (unless they accompany it with a pat or pinch).

Glad you enjoyed your visit. Thanks for linking up. Have a great week! :)

I know how you can take advantage of your towns CNN claim to fame. You can be the millionaire matchmaker for Lisle men.

An onion butt that makes a man cry? I'll read the responses now.

Flippin onion butt.  Enjoyed the frags!

lisleman said...

That's an idea I would have never thought of.  I'm too cynical to be a good matchmaker but taking their cash would be nice.  thanks

lisleman said...

Oh I agree that pats and pinches are definitely crossing the line of interactions.  I don't think he would do that.  thanks
