Watch the full episode. See more In Performance at The White House.
I wish I posted this a little earlier so you would be able to plan your evening for this. I did get the post up before the show anyway.
Being that the theme is Motown, I initially thought all the performers would be African-American. Not so, and that says a good thing to me. The main thing should be the talent and music coming from the artist. The color of skin should play no role in it.
My regular readers might know that I'm a Sheryl Crow fan and she performs in this. She is amazing at doing Michael Jackson's earlier songs. I'm listening to her version of "I Want You Back" on my Itunes as I write this. She does that song for her White House performance.
If you are reading this after the show and you watched it please let me know what you thought.

One of our liver transplant friends (our = the transplant community at Mayo in Jacksonville) was one of the cameramen at this event. He had his transplant about 18 months ago. I didn't see the show, but I hope it will be rerun so I can see the show and admire my friend's work.
It will be run again and you can watch it over the internet (the link in the post has the info). I watched it on TV and enjoyed it. Sheryl did two songs. One was a duet with Smoky Robinson.
That is cool that you have a personal connection to the show. Does he do many White House events?
I didn't know Sheryl Crow could do Michael Jackson really well. They sound really great on that clip!
check and see if you can catch a rebroadcast or watch online. The duet she did with Smoky Robinson was my favorite of the show.
thanks
Didn't get to watch it. Oh well. I don't get to watch much lately.
They played it again on the local extra channel (the extra one created when the country switched to digital) so you might want to check. But hey, you get to watch your family grow and that's fun most of the time.
thanks
He's based on the West Coast, so this was not his usual. He's been with American Idol, Let's Make a Deal (the new one) and So You Think You Can Dance among so many others.
Thanks for the info - I will watch it online.
