sun apples wine beer good times

This weekend we traveled around a wine country close to home.  You don't need to go to California to find wine tasting places.
Now there is a blog from SF, CA. that you should visit for great pictures on Sundays.

Looks like a lovely day. I visited some really nice wineries in Tasmania, which may be the farthest south wine is grown? I keep meaning to go to the wineries that are around here.

Nice! It looks like you had a great time. How many pumpkins did you take home?
Cheers, jj

Kind of a cross between a pumpkin patch and winery. Looks like a nice place.

Great photos...definitely looks like fall in your part of the world.

mostly apples and some potatoes (surprised to see those at an orchard). We did get one pumpkin and we already had one here. If we had some grandkids in tow (not this time) I'm sure the pumpkin order would have been higher.
have a great day.

that is very far south. Sounds like a secret agent kinda place. Did you see any devils down there?

Not that it matters, unless someone is interested in visiting the place - but I failed to mention that the pumpkins and apples were at farm/orchard place down the road from the wine/beer tasting place.

That looks like a great idea! We need to find some good fall festivals to drop in on.

Cheers! You got some great shots (picture-wise and drink-wise).

I can smell those apples! the pumpkins look so great. I miss being able to buy those at a resonable price.

Oh, it would be great to visit a place like that...but you can't have everything - I had a good time in Helsinki, today back to Casa...
Have a great week ahead!

Looks like a fantastic Sunday outing to me. I loved the colours of the fruits. The fact that you could have a drink too adds a bit of variety!

One place making beer, bourbon and wine. Hope you had a designated driver.

My wife only had a few samples but her driving BEFORE we got there was scary. She saw the entrance late and made a very fast turn. On the way out of the place we noticed a stretch limo. So that would an interesting job - driving wine tasters around to the various vineyards.

Could I have one of those apples?? I always hear about apples, apples, apples from people in the Midwest and it makes me hungry for them. Fresh apples from the tree. No, not here in Texas. Your pictures are beautiful!

Looks like a great weekend. We did the pumpkin patch, too, but with our 90 degree temperatures it just wasn't quite right. Hope your weather was more fall-like than mine!

An addition benefit to the freshness is the free sampling of the various types of apples. This place had about half a dozen types.
thanks for sharing a comment.

so...how was the wine??

very good and my wife bought a few bottles. I found their cranberry wine very good if you enjoy fruity. My tastes favor the beer but their six-packs were too high priced. I can get good craft beer for less at the store.
