But it's a "dry" heat.
We just got back from our hottest trip in sometime.
It was a short but great trip with family visits and parties. Also I find the desert breathtaking because when you step out into it you realize it could take your last breath away.
Can you see the clown about half way up this little trail on the hillside? (you'll need to click on it to see the larger picture)
Well readers where were we?
Oh you can find some huge bugs landing on really nice avenues not far way.
Other past travel picture challenges.
Time for a heat related song? Take a listen
Just share your guess in the comment section below. I'll add hints as the guesses come in, but I think this one might go fast.

I'm thinking Arizona somewhere.
None of the pictures are from there but AZ was part of the trip. So you are partly correct.
Palm springs....
so very close - now (I knew it would be quick) that you have it narrowing in on a specific place I need to say that the three pics border two different towns and I'm not real sure where the dividing line is. Palm Springs is not one of those two towns but not too far.
You are in the outhouse halfway up.
yeah I left the door open for you.
It's a display and more important provides some shade. The picture up here is really too small to find me but I had just turned around to see my wife still at the bottom and called down to her. So she snap a picture.
Death Valley? Mojave? Somewhere super-hot in California?
You thought this one would go quickly, but here we are and we don't know where this is. I think Palm Desert. What say you?
yes it was super-hot Southern Cal. - Technobabe just came by and pinned it down.
thanks
Yes - that's quick less than half a day.
The Living Desert in Palm Desert is where two of the pictures were taken. Of course the other one is on a very expensive drive going through Palm Desert and into Indian Wells.
thanks
oh crap...i got here late (not that I would have guessed it correctly...but I love games!)
I'm still interested in what you guess would have been
Looks like Southern Colorado. Am I right?
I'm not sure where you are but those cool bugs are in El Paseo.
jj
What were you doing in the desert?
(That would've been a fun guess too :) Bearman took the first one).
the area around four corners does look like that but as you can read in the other comments the answer was Palm Desert CA
yes that's the name of avenue and maybe you noticed the banner in the background with the name. Have you been there? I know you are too far away from that general area.
visiting my wife's brother and then going to an uncle's 90th birthday party.
Somewhre far too hot for me; I'm getting heat rash just looking at the photos!
