You have made it to another round of "where's the clown". It's the latest internet craze. (well I enjoy it)
Confused? Wait - playing is simple, just leave your guess in the comments.
What do you win?
Just being here makes you a winner. Seriously, you don't win anything but the satisfaction of winning and maybe a little geographical knowledge. Lighten up already, it's a blog game.
If you really want to be a player you could post a picture of yours on your blog for guessing and I will come over and guess it's location. Just leave your link in the comments.

Once again I'm posting two pictures. Unless you've been by this location I doubt you would know of this object. More hints in the comments as readers guess, but this totem pole is not located where you typically find totem poles.
This second picture was taken within walking distance of the first picture.
Ok - where is it ???
If you're interested in the last four rounds click here.
Hey if you've read this far down you should just go ahead and leave a guess.

it might look like an ocean but we have some big lakes in the US, so yes it's in the US.
I have no idea. I just love these posts!
Totem poles near the ocean! (btw, that is a beautiful picture). Is it still in the US?
thanks but cmon you could just make a wild guess.
Who did the walking? How long/far/many hours/average speed etc?
(I'm chancing my arm here!)

That totem pole is located outside The Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, next to a man-made lake. I've been there. If you put 2 quarters in the slot at the bottom of the totem pole you get a free breakfast sandwich voucher.
No - not this totem pole - see technobabe's comment for the answer.
Do you have a pic of that totem pole? It sounds more interesting than this one.
BTW that's a real sail boat in my picture so there's no lake within walking distance of the Wynn hotel that is big enough to sail a full size boat around. This does remind me of the pirate ship show at one of the casino - very popular.
alaska...
I just made all that stuff up. I've never been to The Wynn Hotel. I didn't know where the picture was taken so I fibbed a comment. I can't just keep saying, "I don't know. I've never been anywhere except my backyard."
you would think so but if check the comments you'll find that technobabe answered correctly - Chicago
thanks guessing
that's a sad statement but SF and northern CA does make for a nice backyard ;)
Also I've read that you plan to travel all the way to FL soon. Probably flying but if you drove that would be one interesting trip but time consuming.
I did once take a greyhound bus from San Diego to Boston for 6,666 miles. I thought I would see the country. All I saw was the highway. I flew back.
I've never been on a bus that long. But those bus stations along the way - now there's some interesting life going on around those lovely places.
Looks like Paradise, to me.
Mami, you've been flown to Miami! How awesome is that! And you have a name card too.
The Totem Pole is at Addison and Lake Shore Drive in the Lake View East neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois.
The first pic made me think of Alazka... then I saw the sailboat. I'd have never guessed Chicago! TechnoBabe is good!
Cheers,
jj
Oceangirl - thanks for coming back and pin pointing it. very good.
That water looks absolutely amazing! Its Chicago, wow!
YES - this one went too quick - so for some extra imaginary points try to narrow it down to what area of Chicago. Hint - some searching on the key words in this will zoom you in.
dave while you were calculating (of course this setup doesn't allow instant answers) the distances technobabe jumped in here with a correct answer.
