offer some encouragement

Are you a smoker?
Were you a smoker?
Have you ever tried quitting?

I was able to quit that nasty expensive habit almost 30 years ago.  I met my wife and she didn't date smokers.  That's motivation - love's desire.

Well the reason I'll posting on this subject is not because of my past habits but because another blogger (I think it's legit but who knows maybe she's a cat typing on a keyboard) has posted that she has gone 14 days without a cigarette.  Come to think about it she didn't mention cigars or pipes but I don't think those were in the picture.

Well click on over to "Pearl, Why You Little..." and give her some encouragement.  I told her I would try to send some people her way.

thanks

I believe (no experience whatsoever), depending on level of nicotine addiction, it has to be treated like any drugs addiction. There'll be a period of withdrawal and that is the toughest period.

I'll visit Pearl.

Well aren't you nice to do this for Pearl. I love her blog, but I think you may be right: it's really a cat with great keyboard skills...

Smoking is one bad habit I never took up. Phew! Off to cheer Pearl on.

Thanks everyone - Pearl you are very welcomed but really posting this is much easier than quitting that habit.

I know Pearl! And you are kind to get the community behind her.

@debbie - thanks - I don't know her other than from her blog but sometimes you do get to know someone very well from their blog.

I'll be glad to do this, because I lost my Dad to lung cancer and any time I can encourage someone to quit, I will. :)

Come over to pick up the award I'm giving you tomorrow morning!

My hubby and I were both smokers when we started dating. Now neither of us smoke! I quit first and hubby decided to quit as he didn't want to be the only one who smelled. lmao I'll check out your friends blog.
