the land of the ice and snow

Ahhhhh, Ah
We come from the land of the ice and snow

It just occurred to me that Led Zeppelin was inspired by Minnesota to write the "Immigrant Song".

Land of the ice and snow - no brainer there!

"To fight the horde" -  Mall of America anyone?
"Valhalla, I am coming!" - Valhalla Resort, Detroit Lakes, MN

"For peace and trust can win the day despite of all your losing" - the 2011 Vikings NFL season 3-13, that's losing.

One mistake "we are your overlords", I don't think so.

thanks - I had seen that years ago. Viking kittens are pretty funny. I thought it might show up on youtube but I didn't see it. Thanks for finding it.

Brrrrrr!!!! We have a fire in the woodburning stove and it's only down to the 40's at night here. I'd never make it in Minnesota!

I have nice memories of a summer trip to MN but yes I don't want to live in a place that needs car engine warmers. thanks

I was in Minnesota for a few days late last month and wasn't all that impressed. I did like the heated elevated sidewalks, once I figured out how to get inside them. I don't think I'll be hurrying back any time soon.
