Do you know what we have in common?
We like to complain.

Everyone does. Usually about the morons people around them.
This Thanksgiving, I would like to give thanks for the ability to complain. Thanks to the internet, freedom of ranting is available for all to hear.
It's so cathartic to let loose a good rant. I should record some of them as I drive down the highway of morons.
But did you know a Finnish couple started the grand idea of complaint choirs about 5 years ago?
Here's a short clip about it:
I really like the Chicago complaint choir clip BUT IT'S TOO LONG for readers on typical blog. If you have the time you'll like it. Here's a link to it. Chicago complaint choir
Government - now there's a common target of complaints.
But I just found out that our government is trying to make some complaints useful for all of us. They are creating an online database of consumer complaints about products.
Guess who is complaining about this upcoming service?
The manufacturers like Galaxy Fireworks and Power Tool Institute are worried people might find out some products are not safe.

Maybe I can convince the drug addict kids I work with, who were upset about some of the rules and told us it's a democracy and they should be able to make program rules, to start a complaint choir.
Oh heavens no, don't let the general public know the truth about any products that are not safe. I agree with you wholeheartedly that blogging fills that need for a place for everyone to speak openly.
guess it would give them something else to do.
thanks BTW - no complaints about your great comments up here
all the best
I do my best complaining while driving. I didn't realise how much I complain until I asked my daughter a question one day.
I have always driven her to school, but when she was about 7, I asked her if she knew how to get there by herself. She said yes and proceeded to give me step by step directions, "Turn left at the corner of our street then drive up to the street where you yell at all the stupid drivers....." Ouch!
"I don't like this slow internet connection..." yes, I like the idea of a complaint choir! :)
It took a minute to remember but when I saw the video...
It was a big hit here in Finland in 2006...
You find more about the couple here > kochta-kalleinen
Why are the Finns complaining about america?
you being funny or what? Who said that? No these are groups from all around the world getting together to sing their own complaints.
thanks you can also find many of the choirs on youtube.
great story - kids pick up everything even though we would rather them pick up only the good stuff.
I'm thinking of starting a service where people can call in or come in person and complain to me about anything. For a nominal fee they can rant and get things off their chest. I won't do anything about it, but I will listen.
I don't know about other guys but it took me too many years before I learned that women often just want to vent/rant and are NOT looking for any answers or advice. Before I learned this, I would jump into analyze mode and start shooting suggestions back. Sometimes the whole exchange would get ugly. All I needed to do was listen - duh.
Yes, yes. We don't need you boys to fix things, just hear us out. Glad you figured it out! :)
I especially liked the "I hate my condo association" part of the song. I can so relate to that. Having complaints set to music makes them less complainy and more fun. I like! Two enthusiastic thumbs up!
Bloggers love readers but readers that read the comments and share their ideas are the best. thanks
Let me know how your audition went. haha
I am on a board for chronically ill people. We get to vent and complain all the time to people who understand. It is great!
My problem with complaining is somehow I always turn it into a comedy act which leads to way more information than people really need. I need a better filter....
Are you kidding? Maybe you missed it but I refer you to an early post:

Holy Moly ~ Now there is something to sing about.
It's nice to find another person who uses a favorite expression "Holy Moly".
thanks
