Wow, I almost slept through it

It's National Sleep Awareness Week !!

My first thought was "oh another dumb national week of something". But after looking at the site and recalling that my family has a good supply of ear plugs to defend against my loud sounds in the night, I realize it is about sleep disorders.

Of course we all know of sleep disorders because of that greenish butterfly keeping people awake on those commercials. Why would anyone want a greenish butterfly in their room at night? Stupid commercial.

Since I'm still job searching, I clicked on the "job seekers" link on their page. Working for a sleep foundation might be a very flexible job. Like, how could they be upset if you slept in and were late for work? Anyway here's the info on their job page.

Established in 1990, the National Sleep Foundation (NSF) is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to improving public health and safety by achieving understanding of sleep and sleep disorders and supporting education, sleep-related research, and advocacy. NSF develops programs and provides outreach for public awareness, addresses public policy issues ranging from the effect of long work hours on sleep and alertness to prevention of drowsy driving, and supports post-doctoral research fellowships.
There are no job openings at this time. Please check back again soon.
