Overthinking the lyrics again

I done ran into my baby
And finally found my old blue jean
I done ran into my baby
And finally found my old blue jean
Well, I could tell that they was mine
From the oil and the gasoline

lost his old blue jeans

This sounds like it's leading up to a commercial for a powerful stain remover. The slow beat of this blues song would be different than most commercial background music. The song is slow and long enough to have time to wash some blue jeans. Of course for those boomerang kids the lyrics would be more accurate to change “baby” to “mom”.

I done ran into my MOM
And finally found my old blue jean

I suspect those words might have been uttered more than once. Notice with that word replacement this song could be used for Mother’s Day.

One other thought about a this word change. I’m certain “baby” here refers to a lover. Possibly a past lover who has left with his blue jeans. Two problems - whose baby wants dirty gasoline stained jeans? And would these old blue jeans even fit well?

'Cause if I get back those blue jean
You know, my MOM be bringin' 'em home to me
