bar hopping by google

This type of bar hopping is inexpensive and won't give you a hangover. The bar code patent had its 57th anniversary today and google celebrated by changing their logo on the search page to a bar code.
I've posted about some google's logo changes before.  They seem to pick some odd things and often geeky things to commemorate.

Google's logo for the space race

Google's logo for NASA birthday

So getting into the bar code theme, I went over to a free bar code generator site and made the above bar code.  Now I have a bar code for "few clowns short".  Of course, I'm still unsure of what use this bar code could provide me.  Maybe I should use it on all my comments?
Did you know some smartphones (camera equipped ones) can read bar codes?  Bar codes are here to stay.
Maybe they should bar code bars.  As you bar hop you could keep track of where you've been.

I can't believe your blog had a bar code!

@unknown mami - OK I'll assume you meant what you wrote. Any string of letters and/or numbers can be coded into a bar code. So your "unknown mami" name could be shown as a bar code. It's just special symbols made up with different thickness stripes. So go and put whatever you like into the bar code generator.
The missing part of all this is some useful database that does something with the bar code.
Hopefully, I cleared this up a little but then it might be as clear as a bar code.

If I scan your bar code, I wonder how much your worth is?

I think you are really cute and funny to go search for your bar code :)

@ocean girl - good luck with that - I'm trying to raise the bar though.

@maureen - start a trend? yes that would increase my bar code worth.

@JJ - you point out something very common today, technology being so young. Some of the best technology has a good life span.
