I typo a lot

The best invention since cut-n-paste is the spell checker.

I’m a proud poor speller. Really are there many jobs opportunities for just spelling? I take my poor spelling as a sign of a good engineering mind. Now that I’m blogging I’m very thankful for the spell checkers.

So taco me this, do you think the spell checkers could improve by noticing words that are spelled correctly but don’t make scents. Eggs easy over there kids, don’t be confused. The spell checkers doesn’t pick up “scents” as the wrong choice for “sense”.

From coast to toast, an advanced spell choker would be a welcomed tool for loggers of words and writers of thought.

Please typo your toughs in the comment sexton.

I used two bee a grate speller.  Wen I was in the first grate I was in a spelling be and one fourth place.  I was spelling against third graters. The word that I missed?  Once.  I spelled wants.

I used to be an excellent speller.  Computers have made me lazy.

Hehe yes, you've identified a glitch in the spell-checker - it's still a useful tool though ...

I've got a problem with spelling AND grammar but hey, the object is communication and, if you can understand what I'm trying to say then every thing is ok ...

Sometimes I hit post and realize spell check has changed my word to a different correct spelling ....hate that!

well say - don't let a typo stop you from communicating.

Mine is not set to automatically change the word but I hate it when I miss words in my quick proof read.
thanks

oh don't blame computers for being lazy.  It's a natural state for some like us.  thanks

That is an excellent idea. I also wish that there was a tool that could prevent people from using the wrong your/you're and too/to/two - those two errors drive me batty.

Husband than engineer is a horrible speller. I would guess that there's a strong correlation between students of hard science and spelling, I just can't figure out the causal mechanism.

It has been noticed enough that people expect it.  thanks
