in-flight internet buzz picking up

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The reason you want to get on the internet during a flight might vary from entertainment to serious work. The chance of a flight offering you some type of internet connection is growing.

The press release buzz is picking up. Of course, we need those press releases before we can expect to see it actually on-board.

I have read about Row 44, Aircell, and LiveTV (jetblue) recently. All of them have been associated with at least one of the US-based airlines.

Here's a link to a recent story regarding Continental Airlines (remember their JetConnect service? I did some flight testing on their flights.)

Also, this is good one with some background on the Boeing offering in past times.
