when I was younger

so much younger than today
I never needed anybody's help in anyway

Well that's not totally true. I was helped by family and many others throughout my life.  Thank you helpers.

but now these days are gone
I'm not so self assured

now I find I've changed my mind
and opened up the doors

Very true many days are gone, along with some naive confidence I had. No, I wasn't born yesterday.

and now my blog has changed
in oh so many ways
post ideas seem
to vanish in the haze

Do you have an extra minute and maybe a thought or two?  Want to help me with blog ideas?  Click over to my "I can't blog" blog. Clicking on the eyeball picture takes you there. For those that may not know the lyrics to "Help" see the youtube clip below.

On many occasion, I have sung "Help". It wasn't necessarily helpful but it's a nice song to belt out.

As far as your other blog, I think comments have generally decreased this year and especially this season. It's not just you - if that helps any. I find the best way to receive comments is to make my rounds and leave comments. I'm sure you know and do this. If so, don't give up. It took me 8 months to get a semblance of a following.

    Happy New Year!

  4. thanks - yes making the rounds does help and I learned long ago that most visitors don't comment. Didn't you have multiple blogs or still do?

  6. Excellent song, and I think I know how you feel about the blogging. Hang in there, you have many admirers :)

Happy new year, Lisleman. I do like your approach, and your ideas, but I'll continue to read anything you write.

  10. Happy New Year, my friend. When you get a chance check out my blog post for today. You have the distinction of being the top commenter on my blog for 2012 and I want to thank you for all the support, interaction, and community.

  11. Happy New Year Bill. Love the hat.

I'll click on the eyeball & throw out the very first bizarre idea that comes to mind. With the election over, I've become news averse on my "Women of a Certain Age" blog & having trouble myself. I could, of course, write about women of a certain age but it seems so obvious.

  13. The hat was a party hat at a wedding. Of course, the election is over but politics are not. I would enjoy your posts on other topics. I think politics get old after awhile.
    Happy New Year
