Back before this blog was started, my wife and I took a trip that included Slovenia and Croatia. I recommend visiting there if you ever have the chance. Today I want to share a few pictures from a beautiful national park in Croatia named Plitvice Lakes that we visited.
Because the geography includes rivers above and below ground filled with minerals the lakes (16) formed as cascades of blueish water flowing from one to another.
One more photo that has nothing to do with our trip or any trip. I just grabbed this funny picture from Mrs. 4444's blog (with her permission). I added my version of what the puppies are saying in word balloons.

So, if you didn't drown, you could be swept into one cave and out another. Sounds like a mystery novel in the making, in a beautiful setting.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how big the caves are. Best I could tell (time we were there was fall) you were not allowed to swim in the lakes. Of course, that doesn't stop a mystery writer. thanks
ReplyDeletethanks - hey I have not noticed a comment from you in sometime but then I'm not too good at getting around to your blog. Thanks for browsing by and feel free to take a scroll through the blog.
ReplyDeleteThose are a frame worthy set of photos.
ReplyDeletethanks
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos. That is an absolutely breathtaking place. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletethanks
ReplyDeletewow, what a place! Never visited Croatia even if it's in Europe :)
ReplyDeleteHave a good week ahead!
ps. it feels like autumn today...brrrr....
Amazing place...great photos! Milo is the cutest pup...really! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteLove the fourth shot
ReplyDeleteOh I love Croatia! Great photos :-)))
ReplyDeletethanks - have you been to this park?
ReplyDeleteThe boardwalks were easy to get around and provided great views.
ReplyDeletethanks
thanks - looking at his photos is fun and I don't need to feed or clean up after him.
ReplyDeletethanks
ReplyDeleteYes much closer for you than me.
ReplyDeleteThat's is indeed a very beautiful park. Someday I hope to travel as much as you have.
ReplyDeleteI was lucky to have most of it covered by business. The Croatia trip (04) was not biz but building up airline miles on biz trips helped. I just checked some notes and I have not been on a plane since 2010. All road trips in the recent past. I never liked to travel too much (multiple trips a month) but now I miss it. You have many natural sites within just northern CA. Have you been to the national parks around you?
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous park. I especially love the color of the water. Of course, the puppy pic is adorable, too :)
ReplyDeleteOne especially terrific aspect of having my first lapdog is the discovery that their potty "production" is almost tiny compared to a Golden Retriever's :) Of course, Steve will eventually bring me back to reality...
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me share the adorable puppy picture. Did you show your sister? the caption I put on the picture?
ReplyDeleteThe park was amazing. It felt like a scene from a fantasy movie. It was quite large too. Part of the day was spent on tour boats too.
Great photos! What a beautiful area! My sister (@Mrs4444:disqus ) shared this link with me. LOVE the caption you created and glad you had some fun with my pic.
ReplyDeletethanks it was fun. The puppies offered funny shots. I'm glad you browsed over to see it. Do you also have a blog?
ReplyDeleteYes, I did. It's funny, because she posted one the same day you did, only different (she used the quote I shared in my post).
ReplyDeleteGood did you notice that she browsed over here and left a comment?
ReplyDeleteI did not!
ReplyDeleteMichelle is so funny and wonderful. I loved reading her blog when she had one, but she decided to take it down due to privacy reasons. Some day, I hope she brings it back! :)
