fragment days or days of fragments

Warning: The following contains an acceptable amount of errors. Please remember this is the internet.

What reads better? fragment days or days of fragments? Really, do you give a click?
I benefit from low expectations.

One thing I've come to expect is Friday Fragment posts.  I just looked back deep into my soul blog post history and discovered I joined in on the FF thing back in 2010.  (read my first one here)

While I'm sure Mrs. 4444 has more than enough fragments of snow and ice (we do), she welcomes new fragment posts every Friday at her blog.

nicely decorated bug I saw in Grand Rapids MI

Speaking of ice and snow, this polar vortex must have enjoyed it’s visit back in earlier January because it keeps coming back. It really has become an unwelcomed guest. The other day we thought we would warm up by watching “The Heat” movie (on DVD). Very funny movie and the extras on the DVD are worth watching too. My laughing probably warmed me up a little. My mood certainly was improved.

cuter than a towel animal on your resort room bed

The laptop, she-who-knows uses, was getting slower than an AARP tweet. In gadget-years it was approaching 90. I decided getting a new model would be less frustrating than trying to keep the old clunker running virus free (I talking about the laptop - what were you thinking?). Actually, we went beyond new model and went for a new type of gadget, a tablet. Also, the old clunker was windoze operated and the choice to go Apple I-pad was a no brainer for me. I have found Apple gadgets age better than the competition.

The touch no-mouse interface (you smartphone smarties know better than me) is very different than the mouse right/left clicking I was doing long before Myspace pages came and went. I was trying to figure out email delete/trash stuff and thought I would ask Siri. Remember all the Siri stories and parodies. I’ll tell you now, she is still around for a fun time.

I asked Siri, “Go to help”.
Siri replied “Did I do something wrong?”
Puzzled I stared at the screen and noticed my translated text was “Go to hell”.
She-who-knows, after she was done laughing said, “see I’m not the only who has trouble understanding you.”

disco ball distraction

I still haven’t found what I’m blogging for. I'm thinking of writing a parody on U2’s “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for”. Nah, my luck I’ll end up in a Joshua Tree out in the desert. I think I have a mindset issue. (I’ve been setting my mind down too often

How is your mindset?
Left, right, up, down?

Your polar freeze has gone on for too long. It's time to suck out the heat from the Yellowstone caldera. Isn't there a mad scientist with a plan to make it happen? I'm yet to be convinced by the tablet - how much can do you with your fingertips?

That's what she said!
I agree the tablets are too limited regarding writing and other digital creative work. However for just casual emails and browsing the web they are a good fit.
Sucking heat from all that geothermal energy under Yellowstone might melt the snow on my street but I don't think it stands a chance against the great polar vortex.
thanks

As always, your fragments have made me smile :)
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For should be my song, this week, since I've lost my eyeglasses...

There's much to enjoy in your fragment stew today. I love the bug. I vote strongly in favor of a U2 parody. I never had found anything I was looking for (well almost). I have resisted the tablet urge, as my laptop works most of the time. It has a vortex, not polar, that displays itself in ugly screen flashes. The newest polar vortex delayed my arrival in Honduras by over 24 hours, but I suppose they used hair blow dryers (big ones) in Houston, Texas, to take the minute bit of sleet off the wings of our plane.

I think I could hang with your wife :) Happy for her re the new ipad, too!
That car is amazing--I love it. It's late; my brain is getting mushy...heading to bed. Thanks for linking up!

So far the ipad experience has been positive for both of us. The car was in that Grand Rapids art fair I posted about last fall. I don't know if the owner actually drives it. I hope they take down the disco ball while driving.
thanks

I think we are all losing our patience with these sub-zero temps. I always follow your weather as our farm is not far from where you live and it is ridiculous how cold it is there. We are still in single digits with snow falling but not below zero.

How are you liking the ipad? I really like my iPad but still use my computer more because of Photoshop and Word Office Suite. (Publisher is my very favorite software program) BUT the ipad is certainly easier to take with me when I am out and about.

I should not complain right? Losing patience is better than losing toes. The ipad is great. I've dictated short emails to it already. I do wish they would have included a SD memory card slot.

Very easy to carry around.
thanks

I like my iPad. But all my computers are Apple products. And my Siri has a man's voice.

I didn't know you could change Siri to a Sir. thanks
