lets have a fragment party

Nothing like a great party.  If it’s not at your own house there is no mess. A Friday Fragment party in blogland has no mess either. Mrs. 4444's blog is hosting a collection of FF postings - join the parties.

I still haven’t found what I’m blogging for - that was a post the other day. Many of you may recall my song parody proclivity (could be the first time I’ve written proclivity on my blog). The post was not a parody but the post started me thinking about doing one on that U2 song. I have the beginning of it -

(great intro music) I have climbed out of bed
I have run to the bathroom …
But I still haven’t found what I should write. Any suggestions?

“....according to people with knowledge of the matter who were not authorized to speak publicly.” - I hate it when that lame excuse for a source is given in a news report. If they are not authorized to speak publicly and the reporter is going to publish their words then what is going on? These reports should start using the word speculation more.

I don’t need to tell most of you how much children change during the first years of their lives. I have a granddaughter who just turned two. Such a difference from when she turned one. I caught a funny picture of her sitting with her cousin (less than a year apart). Don’t they look like a couple waiting for their dinner order? Actually they were waiting for the cake.

This FDA idea of banning transfat in foods might become a problem. Didn’t our founding fathers give us the right to eat transfats with our bare arms or something like that? I’m thinking the donut party will be forming any minute now. They can’t take our donuts/cookies/fries away from us. There’s going to be cream filling in the streets.

They do look like a couple waiting on dinner. They look a little annoyed, too, as if it's taking too long. I bet the waitress didn't get a very good tip!

Cute little kid do's. I love that age. Obviously, considering my line of work.
I'll join the donut party.
What to write about? Not sure. I have writer block myself.
Have a good weekend.

I've been struggling to write too. I told my husband I need a fabulous trip somewhere. That always inspires me : ) Heading to Dunkin' Donuts now, before the government tells me I can't. Enjoy your weekend!

Ha ha - yeah I don't think they tipped. In fact I don't they any cash on them at all. Bunch of freeloaders.
thanks

If the transfat ban really bothers you, there is a series in the making. I don't do all the sugar in donuts any more, but wouldn't mind reading about all those fat bombs fading away.

No I guess it doesn't really bother me. I was thinking how some issues get people all stirred up. My understanding is this altered fat never had much of a health benefit. The benefit was longer shelf life. It could mean the end of Twinkies as we know them. I believe I'm pretty reasonable on sugar. thanks

That picture of the two little ones is darling. Super cute kids!!!

I think there might be a revolt if and when trans fats are outlawed. You can mess with a lot of things but I am not sure you can mess with people's junk food without some kind of repercussion.

thanks

Yes there might be frosting and fillings flowing in the streets. Food fights breaking out and I don't mean junior high. I gather this stuff is no good for us and it's not natural so maybe we change our habits. People should change their smoking habits too. Most have but there will always be a few hanging on.

What a precious pair those two are! They really look like annoyed customers waiting on an order, probably something with transfat.

Ha ha - good one - I didn't even think of working the trans fat into the picture. thanks

The pic of your granddaughter is adorable -- she does look like a pint-size waiter should arrive. Have a great weekend!

As I have replied to another comment, do you think we could get get Dunkin' Donuts to contribute to the donut party? I sure hope you don't have to search too hard for doughnut shop. I know the location of all the ones around here. thanks
