Here's a funny cartoon I found on G+.
Nate Fakes has a web site called "Break of Day Comic Strip" and I pinned his cartoon over to pinterest and then embedded it here. Good cartoons get around.
My kids would get this but my grandkids probably will not recognize the film rolls.

I asked - my kids (16 and 19) got it. They didn't think it was funny, but they did recognize the film rolls. Honestly, I am so glad not to be paying to develop film - I much prefer digital!
Also, when I show my older son things like this, he says, "Oh. Old person humor." 19 year olds are very superior.
"undeveloped" country ... hehe ... digital is the best thing since the invention of photography ...
LOL We found some undeveloped film and decided to just let the rolls sit on the bookshelf! One day. . . xoxoxo
"Old person humor" should have been my title. thanks
It's a great invention. Best thing? I need to think about that one. Putting camera into phones which I thought was dumb when I heard about it turned out to be brilliant judging by the popularity of it.
thanks
Oh you should get them developed. Surprise pictures. You wait too long and you might not be able to find a place that would do it.
thanks
My youngest is 15. All three have been around his father (who is into photography) long enough to recognize film. My nieces and nephews are a lot younger. I highly doubt they would know. Very funny cartoon.
See LIsleman knows how to give Attribution to the creator...why can't George Takei figure it out?
Bearman it's only right to give attribution. Many people are lazy about it or just don't care. I find the pinterest set-up works well with keeping the links back to the source. thanks
Now that's funny!
a joke for older photographers. thanks
thanks - Yes there are kids who probably have never seen a roll of film.
Amusing cartoon. Yet, the punchline is inaccurate Underdeveloped countries such as Honduras skipped the film generation. Most of the poor never had a camera until they purchased a cell phone. Now, the poorest of the poor snap away and publish online to Facebook. They also listen to the radio which may be the first radio they ever had as well.
Yes. Cell phone cameras help poor people make memories. And folks like me, cell phone cameras are unobtrusive, making the theft of a camera not a factor in certain areas of my country.
Thanks - I never thought of that. I did know that many "3rd world" places skipped landline phones. I guess taking your film to the local drugstores didn't happen if you didn't have a local drugstore. Thanks for sharing.
