worthy of a Monday

Why do we put down Monday?

My guess is because Monday brings an end to the fun of the weekend. This sculpture has that “somebody is having the mondays” look to it.

It’s an umbrella only a duck could love.

Our trip to the Artprize in Grand Rapids MI has left me with many posting worthy pictures. Check this link for more on our art fair visit.  Follow this link for info on the artist.

Well, an unbrella that rains on your head would ruin any day of the week, wouldn't it. I have been lost on the wrong side of Grand Rapids at two in the morning; who would have believed it has treasures like this.

I personally think Tuesdays are the worst. Probably because that starts my run at the jail house for the week. I will defend Monday's :)

Good point. Yes there are also people who work weekends. A Monday defender - good.

Two in the morning - sounds like an interesting story. Any drinking involved? Most all these treasures are only there for the art fair.

Monday's used to be my favorite because the boys went to school and hubby was off to work. I was able to clean the house and clean up from the weekend. As my in-home day care has expanded, I no longer have that quiet time. So, yes, I do not like Mondays!

It really comes down to each person's schedule. I recall the days when work was an escape from the craziness of a house full of kids.

As a mom, I don't really have weekends off so Mondays don't seem all that different. In fact, in some ways, it is my get it done day.
Happy Monday!

That's a unique fountain. Monday is longer than other days, that's why.

Bill, Bill, Bill. Why does this sculpture look how I feel? This morning, for instance, when I woke up at 5:54? When I'm supposed to be out the door at 6?
Yeah.

It depends on whats required of you on a Monday. thanks

Monday is a slower day then? What's the fastest day?

lisleman said...

wow you get ready quick. I think the artist knew about feeling like a dark cloud was following you around. thanks

He looks really cold, I've been to Michigan in the winter so I understand. I'll have to check out those pics.

i don't dislike mondays...

lisleman said...

Yeah but you seem so easy going. You don't even mind being stopping by cops. You're right it's a generalization that doesn't apply to all.
thanks

There was that famous Boomtown Rats song (at least in the UK) called I dont like Mondays. I hated Mondays too when I did certain jobs I disliked. The weekend is over and the workweek begins usually with a Monday. So its hatred is understandable. I was born on a Monday though so I should be a bit kinder to it.
