Holiday piping

Down under in the land of Oz there’s a blogger named Lilly. I know some of you visit her blog because I’ve noticed comments from you there. Her recent post sent a brief thought (deep thinking it’s not) across my skull.

Only a scrooge would hate Christmas music right? Well alright, a poor clerk subjected to it through long hours of harassing cheery shoppers can be justifiably excused.

If you have not read Lilly’s post about Christmas music check it out. (oh hint, think bing)

While I’m in a holiday spirit, enjoy these stocking stuffers (not the same as stuff a sock in it right?)

Have you read Santa’s privacy policy? I could not find the 'opt-out' claus in it.

Just not the same since Santa became an app. Hey my smartphone believes in Santa!

In the long tradition of youtube holiday clips please enjoy the following from me to youtube.

My parody of a mind just can’t stop changing lyrics.
Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the mall
Ring-a-ling, hear them scream
Soon Santa will be deaf in one ear

Don’t over spike your egg-nog and get lite-up like a Christmas tree.

One more inappropriate lame joke.

She was up all Christmas eve because she was a Ho Ho Ho.

You calling me a Scrooge? Yes, some of these songs are lovely, Silver Bells, to name one. But it's the endless repetition of the albums, starting BEFORE Thanksgiving, that makes you feel a bit bah humbugish.

Are you sure it's not the endless repetition of shopping? That's where you'll hear those endless loops. thanks even Scrooge found a hum in humbug.

LOL (the joke) I'll have to go check out the post. Fortunately they play different types of Christmas music throughout the park but I'm started to notice the playlist. The best and worst is being stuck in the area where they play Christmas music from the '30s and '40s. Like, Here Comes Susie Snowflake.. Bah humbug! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdYDdm3fZiM

Thanks for the shout out. Ho Ho Ho indeed. You make me laugh. Do you know now I have downloaded Sheryl Crow - she should be paying you commission or agents fees or something. Wouldn't you hate to be a store Santa, not the easiest job on the planet that is for sure. Santas opt out claus is the same as the British Royals, there isnt one.....

I had only thought of store clerks but I guess amusement parks and "sea worlds" play background Christmas music. Susie Snowflake is OK once a season. Now I've had made one listen - thanks

Sheryl Crow paying me a commission, now that would be a Christmas present. I would be thrill to get an autographed picture of her. A few months ago I posted an idea suggesting Sheryl's staff contact me.

So the Royals don't get to opt-out either? I think they should just hiring their own paparazzi so they have a little more control over the pictures.
