export your friday fragments

Looking for a cornucopia of fragments? Or like me, just a reason to write cornucopia. Well head over to Mrs. 4444's blog for the festival of fragments - Friday Fragments.

Mommy's Idea

bowl with feeling
One of the activities I did with the grandkids last week was bowling. I have fun bowling childhood memories. There was a period when I could break a 200 score with some regularity. I discovered that now I bowl with feeling. I felt it in my fingers, left knee, back and shoulder.

banana boat burning
Alert recall watchers know about this already. It seems so odd. It deserves a mention here. Don’t use Banana Boat UltraMist Sunscreen. You may burst into flames. no kidding

never ever ever
I’ve only watched a few “Breaking Bad” episodes but that was enough for me to get a laugh from this good parody.

Birthday One
The youngest granddaughter celebrated birthday one at the beginning of November. She had some fancy pants. It had a big number 1 on the bottom. I thought number 2 was more appropriate for that area but hey I’m just a silly old papa.

A very common part of aging is your changing eyesight. An unappreciated blessing, this need for glasses, I believe. A natural excuse for not having the cleanest room. Of course, my wife has told me for years about dust/dirt I just didn’t see.

Fun fragments yet once again.

I love the fancy pants - - - and socks - - - and outfit. That looks like a 3 to me, but what do I know that old age eye sight thing has kicked in long ago on me!

Sun tan lotion that makes one spontaneously combust - - - that can't be healthy!

Wow - there's a product warning I never thought I'd hear!

I laughed at the bowling fragment. I loved bowling as a youth and teen. Now, I usually just attend bowling alley events and watch my friends' children throw balls into the gutters.

The fun of getting older. I played basketball the other day. I used to be able to dunk and now, not so much...the price paid is so much heavier nowadays.

yes they made a big mistake with that one.

like many activities our bodies don't handled it the same way it did before. thanks

Now that is one sport I never did well at. I've always been dead on my feet for jumping. thanks

she's a cutie and is full of smiles and laughs - thanks

Your granddaughter is a cutie patootie!

lisleman said...

thanks - I don't often say patootie so thanks for reminding me of that great word.

Is that why I'm so messy? Because I can't see well?

I love the leg warmers she's wearing. Where they handmade or did someone buy them somewhere? If bought, link?

lisleman said...

well now that the bag is off your head you should be able to see better

lisleman said...

they were bought but I don't know where. I'll ask. I thought it was a little too fancy but just my opinion.

Love her fancy pants! I'm a terrible bowler unless the bumpers are up than I rule! Have a wonderful weekend!

What a cutie your granddaughter is!
I can never spell cornucopia right. Must be me accent, but I pronounce it like corn-a-cope-e-ah. So I tend to spell it the way I say it.

lisleman said...

oh I can't spell it either. That's what online dictionaries are for.
thanks

They didn't have those bumpers when I was a kid. Now there are bumpers and a ramp thing to roll the ball down. thanks

lisleman said...

thanks - are you a fan of that show?

Your "cornucopia" comment made me lol (very loudly). Thanks.

Wow! Thanks for the warning! That's disturbing.

I'm pretty sure my pain-free bowling days are over! Though now that i think of it, i might have to pick a ball up, some day, when the grandkids arrive (and grow up)!

Have a great weekend, Bill :)

Bowling is not for the faint of heart, you really do use muscles you forgot you had. Your grandchildren are precious, I hope you enjoyed your visit.

Cute pants on the birthday girl! A girl as to celebrate in style! I had no idea about that sunscreen and I do use it! I may have some in my garage just waiting to explode! YIKES! When I bowl, people need helmets. My fingers always get sweaty and I lose the ball on the back swing!

lisleman said...

thanks - yes we all enjoyed the time together. Sounds like you have had the same bowling experience.

It's a fancy style. I'm sure she will enjoy the pictures when she is older.
A dangerous bowler - funny.
