"They say that all good things must end ...
someday...
... but don't you know,
 that it hurts me so
to say goodbye to you...  "

It appears one of the good things that ended was the embed function offered by playlist.com.  I have used that service in the past but now they don't offer the embed code for your blog post.  So I went searching for another option to embed a playlist.  The MixPod.com works good and hope it keeps going for awhile.

My playlist option problem made this simple post a little longer.  Initially I was just going to write about innocent summers of the past.  Back then before all the adult worries and issues.  Simple summer love.

The songs in this playlist remind of those days.

Do you have simple summer memories?

I'm going to try to dream of summer days while I'm shoveling snow off my driveway.

You said that terrible four letter winter word that begins with 's' and not that's all I can think about. Yuck.

Love those songs, but nothing puts me in a summer state of mind more than a Beach Boys song. Simple summer memories? Playing hide-n-seek in the front yard at dusk, Monopoly games that lasted all summer, reading for hours and hours and hours... Sigh.

My favourite part of the summer is 10 PM sunsets. I dream of them in the winter.

We don't get those here but I do remember those late sunsets during our summer in Ireland. The never setting sun would be too weird to live with.

I like the Beach Boys too but their songs just remind me of cars and surfing (which I've never done). Hide-n-seek and hitting fireflys with plastic baseball bats - those were the days.

Beach Boys and Jimmy Buffet, now that reminds me of summers along the Caliornia coast when all was right with the world.

I always wanted to be trapped in the rain. It never happened.

I've been soaked by rain before. It's ok except when it ruins your wallet or shoes.

Maybe what I mean is trapped by the rain :)

I have tons of simple summer memories. But these days, I just try to make it through to the fall. Summer is hot and humid and buggy around here. And I've had enough. Though you may have read that about me before. LOL

don't let the recent summer ruin your old summer memories. This has not been a good summer for me. But I know I've had much better ones.
