hold that thought

Talking to empty chairs is slightly better than talking to empty heads. I try to be a good listener but admit spoken words have traveled right pass me.

In the summer 2010 I started a new blog, ICB, with the idea of a one post blog with lots of comments and comment threads. That one post got well over a hundred comments but the comment activity dropped to a trickle after a few months.

Loyal regular readers might remember ICB and possibly shared a comment there.  I just did a bit of pondering over on that blog about comments and mind reading.  Like mind reading, comments are rare.  (click the eyeball to find this latest rumination)

I can’t blog

I ask myself (sounds better than talking to myself?) why bother to keep this other blog since it gets so little notice. My current answer, subject to change, is that this approach provides a consistent collection of my blog writing thoughts and observations.

I think the issue is that it can become unruly if you are new and trying to figure out all those comments and where you fit it.  Coming into a regular blog is easier to jump in.

So are you saying that you feel like you are interrupting an ongoing conversation on  a blog you have not seen before?  I've never thought of it that way.
thanks
