odd record weather

Since my life is just high charged excitement I don't typically post about the weather.  I once commented that the older we get the more we discuss the weather.  The blogger thought I was saying she was old.  Even a safe topic like the weather can get a guy into trouble.

Speaking of high charge - I posted this Chicago Tribune picture once:

Tribune photographer Chris Sweda

It's predicted that our record high temperature days will be coming to an end tomorrow when a storm moves in.  Much of the US is having record setting days.  I wonder if a weird cosmic event flipped Chicago and Phoenix around.  Chicago had a higher temperature (80's vs. 60's) on Tuesday.

The weather superstar in Chicago is Tom Skilling who of course has a FB page and Twitter account.

From Tom's FB page:
8th record-breaker in Chi-but even more importantly, Wed's 87-deg high at 3:18pm, just 1-deg shy of warmest March temp ever on 3/29/1986! Midway has equaled its highest Mar temp ever hitting 86-deg at 4:20pm. Normal Mar 21 max: 49 which puts ORD's 87-deg max 38-deg above normal! Warmth runs into Thu-but big changes loom. Record warm spell to end and thundery rains on the way.
Weather on FB - now that's exciting.

Hehe ... you should save those clippings, I believe they're an essential ingredient in some magick  potions ... you could turn a buck or two and spend it on additional air-conditioning ...

I am terrified of electrical storms.  We get loads here in SA and we've had to replace our modem 5 times in the last 3 years!

Cincinnati has seen the same, it's been close to 90 for the last few days. I don't mind an early spring, but I'd still like SOME spring, know what I mean? I guess on the positive side, I learned that the A/C in my car is out early enough in the year that there isn't a backlog of people at the repair shop.

It's definitely confusing the kid, though, because he's mad that the pool isn't open.

What an amazing picture!  We've had records here in St. Louis, too!  But now the rain is even passing us by...just a bunch of gray skies that keep teasing about moisture.  I guess that means I will have to get my big butt out and walk the dog some more!  Good post!

I pooped a pant size! :) I love spring storms. Even living in tornado alley excites me. I suppose I'm odd like that. At one time I wanted to be a storm chaser.

yeah that would be very special magic to make any money from my toe nails.  Gee, did I miss a photo opportunity with them?  Do any of the bush people (hope that's the right expression) sell magic potions?
thanks for browsing by

Don't you like the lights and loud booming noise?

I will remember that you were able to put a positive spin on a car A/C going out.

My dad always call me to tell me what my weather will be like! Sometimes I mess with him, he will be like so it's raining there today uh...and I'm all no there's no rain here.....even if it is....I know it's not nice to be mean to the old!

that's funny.  I never thought of doing that.  Scattered rain can be fun when it's dry here and across the street it's raining.  thanks
