who cares friday survey

It’s sun-dried tomato time kids. You will not find soup for slackers nor nowhere nuts on my menu but I do have a few Friday Fragments. Fragments certified by Mrs. 4444 to be fresh and frost free.

(warning to those who dislike youtube clips - You are a member of an elite group. What’s not to like in a funny youtube clip? Youtube gets 4 BILLION views a DAY so if you dislike youtube you might not be normal. I’m embedding three clips in this week’s FF post.)

Weekend - evidence that people enjoy relaxing free time. We don’t have a word like weekstart or weekbegin. However if everyone wants to be relaxed what's up with not feeling great about buying relaxed fit jeans?

Overhead at Starbucks - a few young ladies talking about how to overcome feeling possessed by a demon. I HAD to get up from my section and STARE look around the divider. They didn’t look demonic. It might have been a Bible study group.  That coffee can be too strong.

Recent internet discovery - Remember the other day when many sites went “dark” to protest that Hollywood sponsored internet protection law? Besides the protest getting a good amount of attention. I discovered another version of wikipedia. It’s the simple English version (it didn’t go dark that day) and it is provided for people learning English. Here’s the simple link.

Survey says people are tired of surveys - that was a headline in a South Carolina newspaper but who reads the paper? I still do and have proudly mentioned that here before. I hate surveys. What I have not done in many many years is watch Family Feud. It sure has changed - watch this short clip.

Blue Ivy - If you have that you have gardening problems - right? I know the green ivy has not helped the Chicago Cubs much but it looks nice. Beyonce’s strange naming doesn’t compare to Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop.

His name brings entertainment to many situations such as: jury duty selection, your name called for a table, entering another country with his passport. I think he should run for an elected office.  (Mrs. 4444 did you noticed he was from WI?)

This last one came from a sharing on G+. Women apparently love to share their pregnancy experiences. Five kids - no pregnancies = male advantage.

That’s it. Until next time try to keep your ephemeral energy focused.

I don't like surveys, either, which always makes me skeptical of any survey results I hear about. Haven't watched Family Feud in years and that clip made me grateful. yikes! Loved the clip about Beezow but the first few seconds of the pregnancy one was enough for me. ugh. Just read your previous post - I think the psycho idea is great!

If a large majority of people dislike surveys why do they keep trying to do them?  Just think the minority of survey takers determine way too much.  Maybe that pregnancy one is too real to be funny.  thanks

So, G+ is still around?

Girls talking about being possessed ... that had to be quite funny!

I believe it is still growing.  I like it better than FB.  But since I got started on FB I'll continue to be on both.

I didn't talk to them.  I'm guessing 20-something in age.  The little I heard convinced me they were serious bible believers.  That's fine.  I don't want to attack or defend various beliefs.  To each their own but believing in demon possessions and exorcisms would be considered a fringe group in today's world I think.   It did make for a great movie back in the 70's.  It was strange overhearing some of it.

Those girls may not have been having a Bible study. Hormones work overtime on young ladies. Perhaps they were had PMS, which I would consider to be in the same category as feeling possessed by a demon/devil/beelzebulb.

You are right those two things do fit in the same category of craziness.  I did notice two Bibles on their table.

I can imagine there's a big difference between feeling possessed by a demon and actually being possessed by a demon. It's interesting that the differences need to be discussed, just in case someone gets confused about which is which.

I don't hate youtube but I don't go to youtube unless a reliable source sends me there. Pha ha ha that Family Fued clip was great. Who says Schlong? ha ha my husband says the 3 people had to have known each other.

pha ha ha that 2nd video, even better.

3rd video. SO TRUE! Women scare other women. My sister and I had to protect my little sister while she was pregnant from well meaning bearers of horror.

Great FF Bill. Happy weekend.

It's one of the black holes on the internet - don't fall in.

I don't know if that would completely work for teen pregnancy.  It could help.  Now maybe if they figured out a way to give the guys morning sickness and the other discomforts you might get somewhere.  Really if you can get teenagers to think pass next weekend you have accomplish something.
thanks

wow it was that bad you had to protect your sister?  Women start talking ob-gyn shop talk and I leave the room.  It must be worst than I thought.  I tell ya, blogs are educational.
thanks

I don't think that Blue Ivy is such a weird name, but that is probably because my youngest has a name that most people think is whackadoodle. It's not, it's poetic.

lisleman said...

Does the name "Beezow" cross your normal line?  It's all very subjective and stranger nicknames are OK because often there is a story behind them.  "Ivy" is nice.  But what is blue ivy?  Of course it doesn't matter to me.  I doubt I'll ever meet her.  Did you ever take a stage name?

If she had gone with Ivy Blue, it would have been so much better. I would have peeked around the divider too!

I love xtranormal. If only I had an interesting conversation to use.

Never heard of the Beezoe character, and the video is marked "private." :(

I've also never heard of Simple wikepedia, but I love it! Perfect.

Thanks for the fun fragments,  Bill :)

Urrgh the biggest problem with youtube clips - they disappear or get blocked.  It was a clip from a late night talk show which used a collection of news reporters talking about this story.  Glad you can made use of the simple wikipedia.  thanks for keeping the FF going.
