frequent followers disregard

NOTE: If you follow A Few Clowns Short, then you are the greatest and I thank you. This post is some yearend review substitute for an actual thoughtful post therefore much of the material has been previously disseminated. In other words, regurgitation folks. Feel free to skip it.

Lighten-up, Enjoy the Holidays, but don’t get lit-up like a Christmas tree, you’re embarrassing!

There were 52 Fridays in 2011. Ok technically, I should write “will be” because the year is not over as I write this but let us not get too pedantic. On most of those Fridays I took a shower. No scratch that, you don’t care about my hygiene. More importantly on most of those Fridays I submitted a Friday Fragment post.

Here’s a few of those past fragments that haunt my memory. I’m sorry (well I’m not but that sounds good right?) I’m not haunted just delusional at times.

Enough all ready. I can’t rationalize this list of past fragments. They are damn fragments after all. Read them if you like. I enjoyed creating them once.

Previously recorded fragments

Mommy's Idea

Mrs. 4444, who probably gasps “what have I created” when she reads my FF post, is distributing links to FF posts far and wide.

people those are chips not fragments however, I've never met Mrs. 4444

Even with their beauty and song, birds bring some crap with them. I was just cleaning some off my mailbox this morning.

money and blogging - a shoe shine boy at the beach makes more money than a blogger.

If I were to develop a line of fragrances (don’t all celebrities do that?) I would call it “Confusion”. Really what does Paris Hilton know that I don’t know? She probably knows many many influential people so that helps. But my “Confusion” perfume would give a woman the scent to throw off the hounds.

You know when you call some company and they announce "your call maybe recorded for training purposes", don't you wish you could get a copy of the recording?

I had a good laugh discussing nudist beaches with my MIL. How many of you can say that?

The subject has never come up before. It started with talking about Caribbean island vacations. I guess it triggered a few memories. From my understanding, one memory she described would freeze a permanent image in anyone’s brain. Just picture a Caribbean beach with an old saggy nudist guy bending over, sunning the parts where sun doesn’t shine much. Not the type beach balls I want to see.

Blogging - A split personality benefits a blogger by providing a better variety of post ideas.

I seriously might have to start being carefully when I eat late or what I eat. The other night I went to bed. After minutes of tossing and turning, I headed to the bathroom. I believe I farted a polka and I’m not Polish.

Recent bit of conversation with my wife:
“Your mom (me - chuckling between words) called me and asked why I didn't have more pictures on facebook. I was thinking WHAT (might have said WTF) - she can’t even find her own email but now she's asking me about facebook.” That’s what a new great-grand-son will do to people.

(regarding men remembering)
I try to remember when my wife has a hair appointment because I need to greet her with "your hair looks good" or something like that. I know it will backfire someday when all she gets is a pedicure. “oh hmm ah yeah the hair on your toes ah no I mean wow that polish color is …”

You know the wise saying, “never go to bed mad with each other”. Guess what, they don’t mention how it feels to stay up all night long.

You know the saying about walking in my shoes. Well women tend to have many more shoes than men and maybe that has something to do with understanding them.

Do you ever count anything on a counter top?

A blog without comments is like dancing with myself. Since I can’t dance please leave a comment. Thanks you saved me some embarrassment.

(lastly I once wrote)
I need to create a superblog. As soon as a reader opens its page, it would instantly start writing a good comment about the post. For now, you will have to do that. Thanks.

Merry Christmas and if that doesn't fit just change it to what does or use Don't Worry Be Happy that works.

This is a superblog!  Too funny Bill. I laugh (heartily?) at about men remembering.  And that picture on the beach, how do I rub it off?!  Hey you must patent those dividers.

Superblog - yes I'll agree.  These were some of my best ones from the year.  It's good to know others like yourself agree.  If you have the picture stuck in your head then watch some movie with your favorite actor.  That should reset your imagine.

I have the memory of a gnat, so I enjoyed reading the year in review!  Love the counter top one.  Excellent!  It's the divider, move on -- good, too!!  So how's that hair appt schedule going?  Is it making you husband of the year??

lisleman said...

Husband of the year - yeah right - I'm going to hold off for husband of decade.  It takes time to appreciate some of the finer things like wine or scotch.
Memory of gnat - that's a good one.
thanks

This is a great post, Bill; I enjoyed the walk down Memory Lane, as well as catching up with the fragments I missed. I also loved the dividers.

Mr.4444 and I especially enjoyed the "beach balls" fragment. Very graphic, but enjoyable.haha

thanks.  It was fun to review the fragments but time consuming.  We were just discussing that beach ball story this morning at breakfast with her.  I brought it up.  She was "complaining" that I probably have told too many people.  She doesn't really understand the blog thing so what she doesn't know won't hurt her.
