forgetful friday fragments

I’m not sure if I’ll get these Friday fragments posted early for this Friday. I might forget.

Don’t you forget to pay Mrs. 4444’s blog a visit.   I forget her exact title but something like Princess of the Fragment I think.

Some of my fragmented thoughts have been forgotten. I know I had more earlier in the week but I was unable to make note of them.

We all forget things. At times we even pretend to forget things like the deadline for the science project. Here’s a funny skit by Brian Regan about forgetting that.

Traveling by road offers some unique sign names to read and wonder about.

I’m not the only one who has enjoyed spotting the Bat Cave sign on I-26. I’ve seen the sign on the internet and in emails. We turn off on the Bat Cave exit this last trip. Found a farm stand with a variety of apples and canned goods (should be called jarring?). I bought some FROG jam. Very tasty. It has Fig, Raspberry, Orange and Ginger in it.

I’ve always enjoyed trying out new gadget features. The other day I noticed Google voice had a software gadget/script for offering a voicemail service for your website. I tried it out on my last blog post. Go ahead call me.

Did you hear about the latest candidates for best parents of the year award? Their first outing with their 3-week-old baby was to a corn maze. (BTW - Mrs. 4444 has a corn field story involving a chicken)  They get lost and call 911 to be rescued. The police used the K-9 unit to find them. Good corn maze. Bad parents.  Bad children of corn joke.

We attended a wedding last weekend.  It was fun but since the connection was my wife's office, I didn't find it as fun as a relative's wedding.  Don't you relax more around family vs. mostly unknown people?
I noticed one young lady at the table using the word random so often she could be mistaken for a statistician except she wasn't talking about statistics or math.  Her use of the word reminded me of how one of our daughters started overusing the word whatever many years ago.

That's it for my fragments - whatever.

I was so taken aback by the 'FROG' jam at first until I read your description. You scared me at first hanging out in caves and eating Frogs and all? Don't know much about weddings since my relatives don't invite me due to the 'anti-weird' policy at most churches!! Great post! W.C.C.

I like that science project video--thanks for the laugh to start my day! I always hated that science project stuff so could really identify with this kid.

Bet that baby lost in the corn maze is going to grow up to be very adventurous!

Enjoyed your fragments!

anti-weird or anti-warlock?  They also had TOE jam which had Tangerine in it.  I enjoy frog legs but often there is not much meat on them.
thanks - you are making me hungry

I found the story in the newspaper.  The mom was quoted as saying it was the first outing of the baby.  I sure hope they make better decisions in the future.
thanks

I loved the story about the idiots, I mean parents who called 911 from the corn maze.  They were 25 FEET from the exit.  Shouldn't the baby be taken away?  You are a good sport if you found a way to have a good time at a wedding party full of people who you didn't know! ;)

That's so random.

You write so young.  Thanks like I was like waiting for like someone to like use that word.

Good sport - hey food, open bar, my wife didn't need to twist my arm too much ;)  The tough part was actually going to the wedding and then the few hours before the reception.  We should have gone to a movie in between.  thanks

I almost always ave a jar of FROG jam in my refrigerator  I add it to cranberry applesauce and also use it in cooking.  Good stuff.

Bat Cave.   I wish some women I dated came with a sign that said "Bat Shit Crazy"

I forgot is my least favorite thing to say since suffering a concussion 2 years ago.  I was never in my life a 'forgetter'...God has a sense of humor!
Bat Cave; that is a good one and it is a farm stand...
The parents lost in the corn maze had me cracking up yesterday.  I would stay lost for days before I would embarrass myself and call 911.
Have a great weekend..

the farm stand was down the road from the Bat Cave exit but that was not the name of the farm.  Yes calling 911 because you are lost would be embarrassing especially in a place you paid to get lost in.
thanks

sounds like you have some good stories - have the stories been told?

lisleman said...

It was the first time I've ever seen it.  Yes it does taste great but is it a common product around NC?
thanks

I don't know - the stuff I buy is made in North Georgia.

I wish I lived somewhere that had a neat name, like Bat Cave. Way more interesting than Cincinnati.

Oh I thought you lived at the Chocolate Factory with Charlie.
