frizzy friday fragments

Don’t fuss with the fuzz or tug on superman’s cape. I missed last Friday’s Fragment (FF) day but it wasn’t because of the fuzz. Probably just the frizz of my focus and the heat in my house that wouldn’t free my flippant fragments.

No matter, Mrs. 4444 is there to inspire and collect your FF post for free. You’ll find a mother lode of fresh fragments there.

Mommy's Idea

Yesterday’s walk left me wondering about luck. Has this ever happened to you?

As I stroll down the path, I see a friendly dog a few houses away coming into view. The nearer I get, the friendlier the dog appears. I see a wagging tail. Then he stops, hunches over and drops his yard duty for me to see.

Do dogs have no dignity? Did he wait for me? Does he expect a treat?

Hoff sicle Popsicle - just weird - I posted it in my youtube collection blog, Another Circus (click on the sign).

End-of-the-world insurance - want to buy some? How big of a pay out would you like? Payable upon the end of the world. I truly believe there are a-few-clowns-short-of-a-circus out there that would buy it.

Actually, this type of insurance has been around forever. It’s called faith and the sellers are the various religions. Of course the price is mostly your time.

I didn’t promise her a rose garden but about a week ago I took my wife to one. Very nice and great aroma floated on a gentle breeze.

Many posts ago, my idea for a dessert was fat-ass donuts. Now I have another menu item:
Drunk burger - good enough to eat off the floor.
It would come with funky fries for free.

You know the wise saying, “never go to bed mad with each other”.  Guess what, they don’t mention how it feels to stay up all night long.

Oh yeah and don’t spit into the wind.

End of the World Insurance: put me down for that. For this reason: buying insurance is like taking an umbrella with you when you go out— if you bring one, it won't rain.

I have desperately by trying to find out how to get a Hoffsicle. I think they are only in Europe.

Now that is some good reverse logic.  How much do you want?
thanks

The only scent I smell tonight is skunk, but thankfully, it sprayed in the neighbor's garage, instead of ours.

I like your take on the end-of-the-world insurance having been around for a while :)

Dogs do have dignity. At least ours does; he always looks embarrassed when he does his duty in front of me. Oh well...

believe it or not I've heard people (very few) say they like the scent of skunk.  NOT me.  Good to know you have a dignified dog or at least he looks that way while straining.
thanks

no long term for you?  Might not be a bad plan since you never know if another option will come along that sounds even better.     Thanks for sharing  a comment

Dogs probably have more dignity than lots of their supposed masters! What is dignity but feeling good about yourself. Heck, the wagging tail tells it all.

Freaked and flipped over your frizzy, focused fragments. Your alliteration is better than mine. But I tried.

lisleman said...

That's good, "freaked" is one I have not used yet.  I can get carried away at times with it.  Here's an example

That song is going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day now ;-)

Ah, Lisleman, your fragments always make my week. I couldn't even pick a favorite.

lisleman said...

wait a minute - you are too young to have that old song stuck in your head.  I always thought only familiar songs  got stuck.  Well if you like Jim Croce, you could replace it with "Bad Bad Leroy Brown".
thanks for sharing your problem that I'm happy to provide.

thank you - did you see my previous post?  I ask because your comment just did that.

A few clowns short? I like that title. (:

Interesting blog. And about that dog...well, that's why I hate dogs in general. I do, however, like drying my hands on warm cuddly puppies.

I can't say I've ever dried my hands like that.  I know if you leave your hands around them too long, you will be wet again.
thanks for sharing your dog opinion.

I'll take some flight insurance too!  Funny as ever.  Hope you are having a good summer, how did it get here so fas,t wasn't it just snowing?

lisleman said...

after the snow melt we had a long rain but then mother nature fired up the grill and we have been sizzling ever since.  thanks

I think it's safe to say that no, dog's have no dignity at all.

lisleman said...

Maybe that has something to do with being called a dog.  "You dog" is not a nice thing to be told.  But I like dogs even though I don't want one now.  I have grand-dogs so if I want to be with one, they are close by.  thanks
